No.1 Your Name.
Satisfaction level: 4.8

This is the biggest hit of 2016. This is the latest work by director Makoto Shinkai, whose "Hoshinokoe," "Kumo no Muko, Yakusoku no Basho" and "5 Centimeters per Second" were highly acclaimed for their style of depicting the emotional subtleties of adolescent boys and girls, with physical distance and nostalgic background descriptions.
While Shinkai's previous works had been more popular among anime and movie fans, this work incorporates a science fiction setting with boy-meets-girl elements of the royal road, and is the latest work by Masanori Tanaka, known for "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai" (We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day), and other works. The film has captured the hearts of a wide range of generations by incorporating a number of trendy elements, including a sci-fi setting with boy-meets-girl elements of the high street, flamboyant character designs by Masaga Tanaka, known for his work in "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai" and music by Radwimps, which matches the world of the work.
The film is currently being shown in movie theaters nationwide on a long run, so if you have not seen it yet, take this opportunity to do so. If you have already seen the film, why not enjoy it again?

The worldview, the songs, the music, everything about the film drew me in, and I didn't have a chance to predict how the story would unfold. It was a real surprise. (Late 20's, male)

No. 3 "planetarian: Chiisana hoshino yume
Satisfaction level: 4.8

Set in the ruins of a war-torn near future, this work depicts the interaction between a man who works as a "scrap dealer" and a female robot "Hoshino Yumemi" who is the only one left behind. The five episodes are compact, but the drama centering on the two is very intense. It is well worth watching as both a human drama and a science fiction work. The theatrical anime "planetarian: Hoshi no Hito" is a sequel to this work, and the story of this work is completed when the two works are seen together. Watch out for the twilight of mankind, which is told with beautiful images.

There are only five episodes. However, it was overwhelmingly dense and rewarding to watch, which is not easy to feel even in a 2-cour anime. In terms of story, visuals, direction, and sound, it gives the impression of sophistication with nothing superfluous. Also, the performance of Keiko Suzuki, who played "Hoshino Yumemi," was wonderful. It was a perfect balance of being a robot that serves customers, not a robot that is playing the role of a robot. 4th NEW GAME!
Satisfaction level: 4.8

A work anime depicting the daily life of the heroine, Aoba Suzukaze, and her co-workers at a game company where all young women work. A frame from the original manga, "I'm going to work hard all day long! of the original manga "Ganbarasu zero-ganzai" (I'm going to work hard all day today!) has become a hot topic around the Internet. It is a work anime that depicts the daily lives of coworkers.

First of all, almost without exception, the characters were cute. And the impact of the first broadcast was huge. I used to think that it would be a typical school story, but when I found out that it was a work anime, I was struck by the huge gap between the two. And yet, it had a great sense of gag. It was the most addictive anime I have ever seen. (undisclosed).

No.7 Competitive Girl !!!!!!!!

Satisfaction level: 4.6

The girls dress up in swimming suits and use their breasts and buttocks to knock their opponents off the water stage in a competition called "Race Women" ....... At first glance, one might say, "What are you talking about?" At first glance, one might be led to ask, "What are you talking about? The setting, in which a poor high school girl, Zomi Kaminashi, takes on the challenge of competing in a "women's race" in order to win big money, is also strangely muddy. However, the girls are all cute and attractive. Many anime fans were knocked out by the gap between these girls and the way they bump into each other while shaking their own bodies. Although the anime ended up in second place in the "Best Worth Watching Fall 2016 Anime Popularity Poll," its popularity is real, as it remained at the top of the list until the very end. This is a good time to take another look at it.

This work is an anime about beautiful girls in swimsuits battling it out with their butts. It is an unprecedented anime in which the girls use their butts to defeat their opponents. The battles using their butts are very powerful, and it seems as if their butts are popping out from the other side of the TV. It is interesting to see how the girls, who are usually just ordinary girls, start fighting as if their personalities have changed when they are in their swimsuits. (undisclosed)

No.9 Sweetness and Lightning
Satisfaction level: 4.6

Kohei Inuzuka, a high school teacher who lost his wife and became a single father, and his only daughter, Tsumugi, who goes to kindergarten. This work depicts the interaction through cooking between Kohei Inuzuka, a high school teacher who lost his wife and is now a single father, Tsumugi, his only daughter attending kindergarten, and Kotori Iida, the daughter of a busy cookery researcher. The drama is sometimes heartwarming, sometimes touching, and full of human emotion. Each episode depicts Tsumugi's healthy behavior, Kohei's struggles for his daughter, and Kotori's feelings as she watches over her father and daughter. Of course, as a cooking anime, it is also full of attentive descriptions of the cooking scenes, and scenes of people eating delicious-looking food, making it a must-see food anime. This is a work that I would definitely like to see a second season of.

I am struck week after week by Tsumugi-chan's cuteness and her father's sincerity in raising his child. The expression of Kotori's love for her father is minimal, and the story is centered on the love between parent and child and how happy they are to eat together.
