The culmination of 4 years of "THE iDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! Report from the "THE iDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! Budokan Concert Report

On March 10 (Fri.), 11 (Sat.), and 12 (Sun.), 2017, "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! (hereafter referred to as "Million Live!") (hereafter referred to as "Million Live!") held its 4th live concert at Nippon Budokan.

The first song of "Million Live! (hereinafter referred to as "Million Live!"), the Budokan was more than just a 4th live, as the phrase "handmade Budokan" appears in the first song of the series, "Thank You! The signboard at the entrance was decorated with handmade rainbow-colored decorations, and the three days of the Budokan concert were exactly the scene depicted in the song "Thank You! This was not only the culmination of the event, but also the beginning of the next stage.

DAY 1 "Sunshine Theater" sparkled with full-blown fun.

The theme for the first day was "Sunshine. The stage was as bright as the sun with Machico (playing Tsubasa Ibuki), Eri Ozeki (playing Minako Satake), Akika Kakumoto (playing Elena Shimabara), Yu Ikuhara (playing Emily Stuart), Kabuki Kido (playing Kana Yabuki), Nao Tamura (playing Hinata Kinoshita), Atsuhi Nakamura (playing Roko), and Shiina Natsukawa (Anna Mochizuki), Nana Hamasaki (Noriko Fukuda), Akari Harashima (Iku Nakatani), Rikako Yamaguchi (Rio Momose), and Yui Watanabe (Nao Yokoyama). In addition, surprise guests appeared to give the event a great start.

As the prelude of "Thank You!" played in the Budokan, the audience cheered as if they had been waiting for the show. Some producers (fans of THE iDOLM@STER) were already in tears. The next song was "Sun Rhythm Orchestra♪", the theme song of "01" from "THE IDOLM@STER LIVE THE@TER FORWARD" (hereinafter called LTF) series released for this live. Everyone was smiling and enjoying the song as the lyrics "Enjoy it more" ticked the bright and bouncy rhythm that symbolized the first day of the event.

In the first half of the concert, solo songs and unit songs from the LTF series were performed one after another. At the end of each song, the next person came out, and it was nice to see a bit of collaboration take place.

Many of the solo songs were performed for the first time, such as Ms. Hamasaki's "My Pace☆My Way," Ms. Nakamura's "IMPRESSION→LOCOMOTION!" and Mr. Tsunomoto's "Fantasista Carnival," as well as many previously unreleased songs for the big concert. There was a choreography in which Ms. Hamasaki and her dancers sped along on scooters in time with the lyrics, and Ms. Harashima's "Animal☆Station! the Budokan was filled with the sounds of animals.

The songs that have been sung many times before became even more spectacular than usual, thanks to the enthusiasm for the Budokan stage and the growth of the performers themselves. It was amazing to see them singing the songs, and at the same time, it was impressive to see them enjoying the moment more than anything else. Ikuhara-san's "Smiling Days" had not been performed since the first live performance, but she said that she was filled with feelings for what she could not do well at that time. In this way, each of them showed that they had grown up on this great stage with their own challenges.

Many of the unit songs were energetic and heart-pounding songs that fit the theme of the first day of the show. The performance was so dynamic and dynamic. Bonnes! Bonnes! Bonnes!!!" by "Libra" (Ozeki, Hamasaki, and Machico) was a very dynamic and dynamic performance. Vacances! (by Ozeki, Hamasaki, and Machico), the three members wore hibiscus decorations on their heads, giving the song a vacation-like feel.

Adding to the energy, "Leo" (Kakumoto, Nakamura, and Harashima) performed "Gekiteki! Muteki! I want to fall in love! (Ms. Kakumoto, Ms. Nakamura, and Ms. Harashima), and "NO CURRY NO LIFE" (Ms. Kido, Ms. Natsukawa, and Ms. Yamaguchi) by "Capricorn" (Ms. Kido, Ms. Natsukawa, and Ms. Yamaguchi), each of the three captivated with their own sexiness to the unique melody.

During the MC, it was impressive to see the roles and personalities of the members, with Tamura-san speaking at his own unique pace and timing, and Ozeki-san trying to turn the show around while making a comment.

After the 12 members had finished singing their solo songs and LTF01 unit songs, the audience was filled with anticipation for what was to come next. Surprises and murmurs far exceeded such expectations when it was revealed who the figure on stage was. Standing there were the five performers (Momo Asakura, Miki Ito, Kotori Koiwai, Nakamura, and Rie Murakawa) from "01" of "THE IDOLM@STER THE@TER ACTIVITIES" (hereafter, TA). No one but Ms. Nakamura, a performer on the first day of the event, would have expected the four to appear as a surprise. They performed "Creation Takes the Wind of the Beginning" in full coolness to the enthusiastic cheers of the audience.

This was not the only surprise; "Otome Storm!" (Rika Abe, Ito, Natsukawa, Machico, and Haruka Yamazaki) also gathered together. (Rika Abe, Ito, Natsukawa, Machico, and Haruka Yamazaki). The joy of having all these units together on this big stage was evident.

Although these surprises may have caught the audience by surprise, the "Emergence Vibe" performed by Ms. Tsunomoto and Ms. Yamaguchi with all their sexiness, and "fruity love" sung by Ms. Nakamura and Ms. Harashima in a cute manner were also not to be missed in this zone. Each song showed a new look that left me sighing. Ikuhara-san, an original member of the group, had always been eager to sing "Eternal Harmony," and when Ozeki-san, Natsukawa-san, and Kido-san joined in for a fresh harmony, Tamura-san, Hamasaki-san, Watanabe-san, and Machico-san performed the song "HOME, SWEET" from "Ricotta FRIENDSHIP".

The song "DIAMOND DAYS" closed the main event full of such surprises and fresh impressions. Since not all the members of the TA series that includes this song appeared on the program, some may have been surprised that this song came at the end of the main program. However, the lyrics "'Thank you' let's continue our never-ending dream together" were perfect for this Budokan concert, and everyone's best smile shone brightly on the wonderful stage.

For encore, the 12 members sang "Dreaming!" and the 18 members including surprise guests performed "Thank You! The first day of the concert came to an end with the audience singing and creating the live together ......, which is what this Budokan concert was all about.
