The "TV Anime "Minami Kamakura High School Girls Bicycle Club" Character Song Collection Kamakore" will be released on April 19. To commemorate the release, Akiba Research Institute interviewed the cast members of the CD one by one!　The third interview is with Natsumi Fujiwara, who plays Higa Natsumi from Okinawa. In the third installment, Natsumi Fujiwara, who plays Natsumi Higa from Okinawa, answers her thoughts on singing the character song "Natsuiro Bicycle," which, as the title suggests, is inspired by summer, and "Bicycle ni Hana ha Maiu," a duet with Natsumi Takamori, who plays Fuyune Kamikura, covering the song!

─ ─ I heard that you practiced karaoke by yourself before recording this time.

Natsumi Fujiwara (Fujiwara): That's right. I practiced "Natsuiro Jitensha" with a lot of enthusiasm!

─ ─ What kind of song is Higa Natsumi's character song "Natsuiro Bicycle"?

Fujiwara The title of the song contains the word "summer," and it is a song that is truly Natsumi's character. It is a character song that is faithful to the episodes in the series, and includes episodes from the series in places. The melody is fast and furious, so I sang the song as if I were riding a bicycle. The lyrics are also very positive, and the song makes me feel positive as I listen to it.

─ ─ Since the character is from Okinawa Prefecture, the lyrics are characterized by Okinawan-inspired scenery and the dialect "Chibaru is the only way, isn't it?

Fujiwara "Chibaru shikanai ne" is an Okinawan dialect phrase meaning "I have to do my best. In the anime, when the members of the cycling club participated in a night race called "criterium" for the first time, there was an incident in which Natsumi's feet did not fit into the pedals. The lyrics "I started to hear cheering" is a scene in which Natsumi falls down and cannot get up, and many people come around her and say, "You're not up yet," and "Keep going. In order to respond to their cheers, Natsumi sings, "I have to keep going, don't I?" I was able to sing this part while remembering how I felt when I did the recording. I was very emotional about it, and if you listen to the song after watching all the episodes of the anime, you may think, "That's the scene! ─ ─ Are there any other highlights of the song?

Fujiwara Between the first and second lines, you can hear the sound of waves in the background. If you listen to the song with that in mind and think of "running along the sea," I think you will be able to hear the image of southern Kamakura.

─ How did you feel when you sang the opening song "Bicycle ni Hana ha Maiu", which you covered as a duet with Natsumi Takamori, who plays Fuyune Kamikura?

Fujiwara: This song is the opening theme and was originally sung by Yuuki Hirose's "AoP," so there was some pressure to see if I could sing it properly as Natsumi, but I enjoyed the recording itself. The lyrics were also linked to the work, so like "Natsuiro Jitensha," I was able to sing the song while reflecting on my experiences playing Natsumi, which was a different kind of fun from singing character songs. It was especially nice to feel the excitement of the chorus from "Dokodemo doko e nakimasu sa" (I'll go on to wherever I want) to "Goal no~".

─ By the way, do you have any memories of bicycles yourself?

Fujiwara: When I was in junior high school, I was going to see fireworks on a bicycle with some friends. The destination was a long way away, and we could have taken the train or something, but we were planning to be back before dark, so we thought it would be okay. I told my parents not to worry because I wouldn't be home that late. But I had to go home late due to a variety of reasons, and I rode my bicycle home on an empty street, and I was really scared because it was pitch-dark!　I was so scared and I was homesick, so I was like, "I want to go home! I was so scared and homesick, so I was sobbing and pedaling my bike when I ran into a sign. I want to go home!" Boom! I fell and scraped my leg and bled. I fell and scraped my leg and bled. ......

Fujiwara: I made it home okay (laughs). I went home crying, "I'm sorry I'm late! My parents welcomed me home, saying, "All right, all right. I think my father was crying a little, too. It is a good memory now.

─ ─ Finally, do you have a message for our readers?

Fujiwara: Natsumi Higa, the girl I play, has a gentle and calm side, but when she gets excited, such as when she sees Mt. Fuji. This time, I put that honest side of her into the character song to the best of my ability. I hope that through the character song, people will get to know the good points of the work better. I am sure that the anime and the original manga will make you want to go to Kamakura and ride a bicycle, and I am sure that the character song will make you want to ride even more and go to Kamakura even more. I hope you will continue to enjoy this work, including these aspects!
