Digimon Adventure tri." is a theatrical anime work that is a sequel to the first TV anime "Digimon Adventure. Set three years after the final battle against Belial Vandemon in "Digimon Adventure 02," the six-chapter film tells the story of Taichi Yagami and his "chosen children" who have grown up. Directed by Keitaro Motonaga, series composition by Yuko Kakihara, and character design by Atsuya Uki, "Chapter 4: Loss," the start of the second half, was screened in theaters on Saturday, February 25, 2017.

The poster visual for "Chapter 5: Symbiosis," scheduled for release in 2017, has been released. The visual depicts Meishin Mochizuki and her partner Meikumon as mutated Digimon, as well as Hikari Yagami and her partner Digimon Tailmon's ultimate form "Ophanimon Fall Down Mode".
