It is a miracle of 40 years of bonding. Live report on the dissolution of "FULL Kabs (Yutaka Mizushima, Kazuhiko Inoue, Yuji Mitsuya)," a voice actor unit one step short of legendary.

On Saturday night, February 25, 2017, the voice actor unit "FULL Kabs" held a breakup live performance at the Science Hall of the Science Museum in Tokyo, giving a final performance that was much missed.

FULL Kabs" consists of Kazuhiko Inoue, known for his roles as Joe Shimamura in "Cyborg 009" (1979) and Anthony Brown in "Candy Candy" (1976), Yutaka Mizushima, known for his roles as Takeru Myojin in "Rokushin Godmers" (1981) and Shun Makabe in "Tokimeki Tonight" (1981), and Kazuhiko Inoue, known for his roles as Takeru Shimamura in "Super Robot Con. Mr. Kazuhiko Inoue, known for his roles as Takeru Myojin in "Rokushin God Mars" (1981) and Shun Makabe in "Tokki Tonight", and Mr. Yuji Mitsuya, known for his roles as Hyoma Aoi in "Super Electromagnetic Robot Con Battler V" (1976) and Tatsuya Uesugi in "Touch" (1985), formed this voice acting unit with three veteran voice actors who have been friends for a long time. The debut of this unit is a surprise, as Mr. Mizushima took the lead in presenting a proposal to Lantis President Shunji Inoue. The name "FULL Kabs," which is a play on the word "old," was chosen by actor and voice actress Keiko Toda after Mitsuya and his team expressed their reluctance to be called "Legend Three" when asked to come up with a temporary unit name, saying that they did not want to be called legends yet (they wanted to remain active). On stage, the three said, "Glico (Ms. Toda's nickname) named it for me," indicating the depth of friendship between the voice actors who have gone through the same era.

In the video presentation at the opening of the event, the digital clock that showed the year 2017 rewound back in time to display private photos of Inoue, Mizushima, and Mitsuya as children, along with the dates of their births. This is a "Back to the Future"-style visual presentation in which the clock is turned back to the present day again, a playful touch that may be attributed to Mr. Mitsuya's dubbed role as Marty McFly, the main character in the film.

The three appeared on stage and performed the opening number, "Candy Candy. The three singers' voices were interestingly different: Kazuhiko Inoue's enchantingly beautiful voice, Mizushima's expressive and somewhat sing-song-like singing, and Yuji Mitsuya's unique vocals that could not be anyone but Yuji Mitsuya. The strong presence of the three singers is the reason why the songs originally sung by Miyako Horie in a higher register and sung so prettily by the three in a lower register do not sound strange at all.

During the opening talk, Mizushima-san said, "This is finally the breakup concert! Many of you have been watching us since our debut concert," and Inoue continued, "We have been a trio for a long time, but it seems like no time at all," to which the audience laughed. The audience laughed, but the truth is that FULL Kabs is a unit that has been active for only half a day, with the daytime concert being their "debut concert" and the evening concert being their "breakup concert.

Although it was just after their debut as a unit, each member of the group has been an expert for more than 40 years, and many of the audience had been following the group for a long time. The talk was therefore constantly off-topic, as they teased the audience for coming in late, made a joke about a certain rock band performing at the Nippon Budokan next door, and now teased Mitsuya for forgetting his script on his bed. The audience, however, seemed to be in a relaxed mood, as if they wanted to listen to the talk of their three admirers forever.
