The AJ Circuit in Ryogoku Kokugikan ANISONG WORLD MATSURI 2017 took place on Sunday, March 26, 2017, as a linked event to Anime Japan 2017, which ran for four days from Thursday, March 23 to Sunday, March 26.

"ANISONG WORLD MATSURI" was preceded by "Anisong World Matsuri "Festival," an anime and anison event that was first held at Anime Expo 2016 in Los Angeles in the summer of 2016. This year's event was the second of its kind.

Here's a report on the exciting live performance by the three groups, all of whom are known for their passionate performances, that had both male and female fans pumping their fists in the air!

OLDCODEX: "Most of the time we play basketball and swim.

The first performer was the rock unit "OLDCODEX," a unique combination of vocalist Ta_2 and painter YORKE.

The first song they performed was "Feed A," composed by Ta_2 and lyrics by YORKE, which is one of OLDCODEX's most popular songs and is also the opening theme song for the TV anime "GOD EATER. Fans shook their heads violently to the familiar tune! It is a so-called "headbanging" song, and the floor seemed to be having a lot of fun.

OLDCODEX's live performances are characterized by Ta_2's sometimes intense and sometimes sweet voice and YORKE's live painting (a performance in which he draws pictures in time with the music). The word "FEED" was painted in real time. Then, with the end of the song, the letter "A" appeared and the audience cheered loudly.

We also got a lot of anime tie-ins in 2016, usually for basketball and swimming (theme songs for anime). We look like a very wholesome band, but as you can see, we are a bunch of ragamuffins" (Ta_2).

After the MC made the audience laugh, the band sang the quiet "Lantana," the ending theme song for the TV anime "'Kuroko no Basketball' 3rd season 2nd cool Seirin VS Rakusan Arc. Aching Horns" was followed by "Aching Horns," the theme song of "High☆Speed! Starting Days-", a medium tune with a grand scale. The song is a tie-up song for a "basketball or swimming" film, but the tune is varied.

It is a rare sight to see glowing sticks (psyllium)." For the following songs, I would be happy if you could put away your glow sticks once and shake your fists at us, which you clench every now and then, and shake your heads together, which are filled with various things" (Ta_2).

With such an incitement, they performed "Deal with" (opening theme song of "SERVAMP"), "The Experience" (theme song of "Kuroko's Basketball Winter Cup Compilation" SPECIAL TIP-OFF ACT), "Scribble, and Beyond" (theme song of "Kuroko's Basketball Winter Cup Compilation" SPECIAL TIP-OFF ACT), and "The Experience" (theme song of "Kuroko's Basketball Winter Cup Compilation" SPECIAL TIP-OFF ACT). Basketball Winter Cup Compilation" theme song) were performed one after another. These three songs were hard-hitting songs that could be described as "this is what OLDCODEX is all about! Ta_2's screams echoed with the loud band sound, and the audience started to head-bang.

OLDCODEX has been performing at rock festivals, but it's been a while since we've been invited to an anime event, so we are very excited! We want to be the kind of guys that everyone who loves anime can proudly support. This is the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Let's have fun and not let the pressure of the past Yokozuna get to us! (YORKE.)

......I'm going to say it here for the first time, but the first CD I ever bought was "Bakuretsu Hunter". I won't say it in front of him, but I am happy to be on the same stage with Ms. Masami Okui! (*Note: Ms. Okui sang the ending theme of "Bakuretsu Hunter")" (Ta_2)

The audience was excited by Ta_2's sudden "confession. With this momentum, they went into OLDCODEX's representative songs "Catarrhythm" (the ending theme of the second cool season of the TV animation "Kuroko no Basket") and "Rage on" (the opening theme of the TV animation "Free! Ta_2 sang with his hand on his chest. The song had an up-tempo rock sound, but the lyrics were coming at you. YORKE. completed painting "OLDCODEX" and the band name at the climax of the song. The audience cheered generously for the two who gave an impressive stage performance.
