The animated film "Detective Conan: Karakohi no Koiga" set an all-time series box office record in its first week of release on Saturday and Sunday!

Saturday and Sunday box office results were announced from the anime film "Detective Conan: Karakuren no Koiga (Love Song in Red)," which was released on Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Karakuren no Koiga (Detective Conan: Love Song in Red)" is the 21st film version of the classic anime "Detective Conan" and the latest in the series.
This time, high school detectives from East and West, Conan Edogawa (Shinichi Kudo) and Heiji Hattori, join forces to solve a puzzling case. In addition, a new character, Ooka Momiji, who claims to be Heiji's fiancée, makes an appearance, and a "faint love story" involving Shinichi, Heiji, and their respective love interests, Mouri Ran and Toyama Kazuha, is also depicted.
Directed by Shizuno Kobun, who has directed the "Conan" film series, and scripted by mystery novelist Okura Takahiro, the film will be released in 354 theaters and 368 screens nationwide on April 15, 2017 (Sat).

In recent years, the "Conan" series has continued to grow at the box office, and the latest film, "Detective Conan: Karakohi no Koiga (Love Song in Red)," has surpassed the explosive record set by the previous film, "Detective Conan: Nightmare in the Darkness," to become the highest-grossing film in the series' history.
The record for the first week Saturday and Sunday was 987,568 spectators and 1,286,928,000 yen in box-office revenue (Toho).

Furthermore, a survey of the audience who viewed the film recorded a 96.1% satisfaction rate. The number of respondents who said they would "recommend it to others" was also 93.8%, surpassing the previous film.
