Cast comments by Yuki Kaji & Takahiro Sakurai from the 2017 anime film "PEACE MAKER 鐵" have been released.

PEACE MAKER Tetsu" is a manga serialized by Nanae Kurono in "Monthly Comic Garden" and the web comic site "MAGCOMI" (MagGarden). The popular work depicts the battles of the main character Tetsunosuke Ichimura and other members of the Shinsengumi and others during the upheaval at the end of the Edo period. a theater anime adaptation was announced at AnimeJapan 2017 in March 2016. The staff of the theatrical version is directed by Hiroshi Takeuchi, script by Eiji Umehara, character design by Sayaka Koiso, and animation production by WHITE FOX.

Cast comments from Hiroki Kaji, who plays Tetsunosuke Ichimura (in his youth), and Takahiro Sakurai, who plays Jojo Yamazaki, have been released. The cast of the drama CD series, including Yumiko Kobayashi as Tetsunosuke Ichimura (in his youth), Joji Nakata as Toshizo Hijikata, and Mitsuki Saiga as Soji Okita, will continue to play the same roles.

───Please tell us how you felt when the anime adaptation was decided.

I was very nervous at first because I joined the project halfway through the Kitakami version*, but Yumiko Kobayashi, who plays Tetsunosuke, and all the actors warmly welcomed me into the circle that has been cultivated over the years, and now I feel very at home at the Tetsu site. I am genuinely happy to be able to perform once again within that wonderful circle.

─ ─ "PEACE MAKER 鐵" is a long-awaited new anime after previous anime and drama CD adaptations.

Tetsu is hot, straight, and human. He has overcome many sorrows to become a young man and has gradually become a strong man. However, I think that he still has the same kindness in his heart...in other words, his sweetness. I am thinking about recording the role of Tetsunosuke, played by Yumiko Kobayashi, with the idea of putting it firmly into my own mind.

─ ─ How did you feel when you heard that the anime adaptation was going to be made?
How many years has it been? I have mixed feelings of "no way" and "finally". I'm really excited about the resumption of this work.

My stance has not changed. I will just do my best to play the same role. I hope I can make use of the experience I have gained over the time that has passed in the role.
