Spring Anime "Kabukibu! Cast comments and photos have arrived! Blu-ray & DVD BOX information also released!

The TV anime "Kabukibu! has arrived, and Blu-ray & DVD BOX information has also been announced.

Kabukibu! is a TV anime based on the novel of the same title by Yuri Enokida (KADOKAWA). It is a "coming-of-age kabuki story" about a first-year high school student, Kurusu Kurogo, who loves kabuki and struggles to create a "kabuki club" with his best friend, Murase Tombo. Directed by Kazuhiro Yoneda, series composition by Nohko Nakamura, anime character design by CLAMP, anime character design by Majiro, and animation production by Studio Deen.

─ What kind of character do you play?
Kurusu Kurogo, the character I am playing, is a cheerful and positive person who has a strong passion for Kabuki, which he loves, and is good at jumping into other people's hearts.

───Can you tell us about your own "kabuki" experience?
I used to eat something in between every class in high school! I was eating something in between every hour of class in high school! (Laughs)"

─ ─ In light of the highlights of the anime, could you give a message to the fans?
I would like to say that "Kabukibu! is a coming-of-age story in which you can feel the enthusiasm of high school students who enjoy what they love as hard as they can!　It is a work that will push you to try new things in the future. Although it deals with kabuki, a traditional art form, I hope you will relax and enjoy it, and I hope this will be an opportunity for you to become interested in kabuki as well.

You don't need any prior knowledge of Kabuki to enjoy it. is a work that you can enjoy even if you have no prior knowledge of Kabuki, and you can learn a little more about Kabuki through "Kabukibu! Also, since it is about club activities, I think its appeal lies in its youthfulness and the enthusiasm unique to that age group.

─ What kind of character will you play?
Basically, he is a quiet and calm character. He is a reliable friend who supports Kuro, who is always running forward, and gives him a helping hand when he is in trouble. He doesn't show it very often, but I think he always cares about Kuro and considers him an important friend.

─ ─ Can you tell us about your own experience of being a "bad influence" on Kuro?
When I was a high school student, I had to appeal directly to the teachers in charge of the festival day after day in order to perform in the band at the festival. On the day of the festival, the stage curtain was pulled down even though there was an encore, and I was crammed with the teachers in charge of the festival. I was so upset at the time (laughs).

─ ─ In light of the highlights of the anime, could you give a message to the fans?
I would like fans to look forward to seeing how the Kabuki club, which started with Kuro and Dragonfly, will grow and what kind of relationships will be formed with the unique characters they meet one after another. Above all, there will be kabuki scenes, so please look forward to seeing the boys and girls give their all in kabuki.
