The TV anime "Anime Gataris" will begin airing in the fall of 2017.

Anime Gataris" is an original TV anime work that depicts one year before the intermission anime movie "Anime Gatari," which was aired in some movie theaters from 2015 to 2016. It is a comedy that depicts the daily lives of the main character, Asagaya Minoai, a first-year high school student who accidentally decides to start an anime research club, and its unique characters, and inherits the taste of "Anime Gatari" such as machine-gun talk about the appeal of anime.

It has been announced that the work will begin airing as a TV anime in the fall of 2017. The director is Kenshiro Morii, who has worked on numerous short animations such as "Yuuki Yuna is a member of the Yuusha Club" and "Uetsuikuappu Garu ZOO! Synopsis.
Asagaya Minoai enrolls in Sakaneko private high school. Despite being an anime novice, she is coaxed by her classmate Arisu Kamigusa into founding an anime research club. Through encounters with her classmate Miko Koenji and other anime-loving seniors, Minoa becomes more and more hooked on anime.
The members of the Anime Kenkyuubu face the relentless threat of the student council to abolish the club, but without realizing the impending destruction of the world, they continue to talk about anime in the club room, in Akiba, in sacred places, and in hot springs.
