Collaboration with Hakkeijima Sea Paradise for the animated film "Songs of Roo Dawn Tells a Roo"! Pyramid of Light is now decorated in "Songs of Lou" style!

A collaboration event with one of Japan's largest aquariums, Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, has been announced for the animation film "Dawn Tells Lou's Song," which will be released on May 19, 2017.




Roo's Song" is the first completely original theatrical animation directed by Masaaki Yuasa, who has produced many popular works such as "Shijohan Shinwa Taikei" and "Ping Pong: The Animation". Set in the desolate fishing port town of Himashi, the film depicts the story of Kai, a boy with depressed feelings toward his divorced parents, and Roo, a mermaid girl, with the fast-paced and dynamic animation typical of Yuasa. The original character design is by manga artist Nemu Yoko, and the screenplay is by "K-ON! Girls und Panzer" and music by Takatsugu Muramatsu of "Mary and the Witch's Flower.

A collaboration event will be held at Hakkeijima Sea Paradise in Yokohama from May 13 to June 11 to commemorate the release of the animated film "Dawn Tells Lou's Song.

Prior to the collaboration event, an animated film will be projected on the "Pyramid of Light," the large triangular roof of the Aqua Museum, from May 3, and the welcome tank on the first floor will reproduce the sea world where the mermaid girl Rue lives. Visitors will be greeted by the sparkling aqua-green sea and vividly colored fish, including the aquarium's character fish, the yellow-breasted trevally, and the smilax.

During the collaboration period, the image song and soundtrack of the film will be played as background music on the island, and the PV of the film will be shown on the super giant LED vision newly installed in the "Aqua Stadium" this spring. In addition, the mermaid Roo will be projected on the first floor of the "Aqua Museum," and visitors will feel as if they are strolling around the museum with Roo, who loves to sing and dance.
