Umemoto Akihabara, a long-established stand-up noodle shop on Showa Street, closes this weekend, Sunday, April 30.

Ume Moto Akihabara, a long-established stand-up noodle restaurant along Showa Dori, will close on Tuesday, April 30.

The location is along Showa Street, near JR Akihabara Station. It is located on the first floor of the KT Building next to the Tomod's Akihabara drugstore.




UMEMOTO is a long-established standing buckwheat noodle chain operated by UMEMOTO Co. The "closed store" posted on the front of the store is a popular item.

According to the "Notice of Closure" posted on the storefront, "Thank you very much for your patronage of Umemoto Akihabara Store. We are pleased to announce that Ume Moto Akihabara Store will be closed on Sunday, April 30, 2009. We thank you very much for the patronage of our many customers. We sincerely thank you".

The closing is this coming Sunday, April 30.
