Mr. Suwabe was the teacher teaching the world view at the recording studio! Fate/Apocrypha" Kick-off Stage in Machi★Asobi vol.18

On Saturday, May 6, 2017, the kick-off stage for the TV anime "Fate/Apocrypha" was held at Machi★Asobi vol. 18 Shinmachibashi East Park Stage in Tokushima, with Koki Uchiyama, who plays Shirou Kotomine, producer Shizuka Kurosaki, and Hiroki Kataoka from Aniplex on stage. Mr. Hirotaka Kataoka of Aniplex took the stage.

Fate/Apocrypha" is a TV anime that will start in July 2017. It is based on the spin-out novel of the same title from the "Fate" series written by Yuichiro Higashide. The previous anime adaptations of "Fate/stay night" and "Fate/Zero" depicted the "Holy Grail War" in the fictional Japanese city of Fuyuki, but this work depicts a parallel world where the Holy Grail was stolen from Fuyuki during the chaos of World War II and a different history was followed. The story takes place in the fictional Romanian city of Turfas, several decades after the Holy Grail was stolen. In this new world and new place, the "Holy Grail War," in which the camps of the Seven Servants clash against each other, opens.

At Machi★Asobi this time, the character settings of seven Servants from the "Red" and "Black" camps, Sieg and Shirou Kotomine from the masters of both camps, and Ruler as the arbiter of the Holy Grail War were revealed in the "Fate/Apocrypha Report" Vol. 2, a paper distributed at the venue, as well as the exhibition at ufotable CINEMA. The character settings of Ruler, who will appear as the arbiter of the Holy Grail War, were revealed. Shirou Kotomine, played by Uchiyama, is a priest sent by the Cathedral Church to oversee the Holy Grail War and is also the master of the Assassins of the Red camp.

On stage, Mr. Uchiyama, who joined the "Fate" series as a full-fledged cast member from this work, talked about the world of "Fate/Apocrypha" from his point of view as well as numerous episodes related to postrecording. What was impressive was the term "Fate school. Whenever the cast members were unsure of a setting or terminology, Mr. Junichi Suwabe, who has played numerous roles in the "Fate" series from the beginning (playing Black Saber in this work), would begin to explain and lecture them. Mr. Uchiyama also told a real-life episode in which he did not even know how to improvise during recording because the movements of the Servants fighting each other were so intense. In the early stages of postrecording, Shirou Kotomine's performance was directed to be soft and gentle, so as not to sound fishy.

Producer Kurosaki emphasized the greatness of the large-scale action that is possible because Servants fight each other in groups. He also mentioned that the film was shot on location in Romania, so expectations are high for how the Romanian cities in the parallel world will be depicted. In the words of producer Kurosaki and a letter from the A-1 Pictures staff, it was said that the staff members are all deeply in love with "Fate" and that they are trying to create a new action expression with a gritty flavor, which is unique to the group battles of Servants.

One of the first major new information was the theme song of the program, "Hero: Poem of Destiny" sung by EGOIST for the OP and GARNiDELiA for the ED, the title of which has not yet been decided.

At the end of the stage, a rock-paper-scissors tournament was held between Uchiyama and the audience. The winner was supposed to receive a poster, but after some progress, the audience was wiped out. In the end, the poster was given to everyone who had survived to the end of the stage, and Mr. Uchiyama declared that he had won the Holy Grail battle (against all the audience members). The audience cheered loudly for Uchiyama's competitive spirit and quick wit.
