On Saturday, April 22, 2017, at ZEPP DIVERCITY in Tokyo, idol group Wasta's one-man live "The World Standard - Anison. The World Standard ~Anison. Youth in full swing~" was held at ZEPP DIVERCITY in Tokyo.

WASUSTA is a digital native generation idol group that transmits KAWAII Japanese idol culture to the world through SNS and real idol activities. The group's name is an abbreviation of "The World Standard," and the five members are free to take pictures during their live performances and post them on SNS at any time.

On April 22, they will hold two performances, one in the daytime and one in the evening. This time, we will report on the daytime performance, which featured a set list of only anime song covers, a genre of Japanese culture that now has fans all over the world.

The setlist for this live performance included anime songs that the members solicited from fans on Twitter. It was truly a live performance where the audience could get excited together with the fans.

A parade of popular anime songs!

The five members of "WASUTA" appeared on stage in black and white monotone costumes to perform "Overture," a remix of the standard anime song "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis" (opening theme song of "Neon Genesis Evangelion"). They started the live with "Kimi no shiranai monogatari" (the ending theme of "Bakemonogatari"). From the beginning of the song, the main vocalists Nanasei Hirokawa and Ruka Mitsushina sang beautifully and the tension of the audience soared!

The next song was "Believe" ("ONE PIECE" opening theme), a hit song by the idol group "Folder5" in the early 2000s, which was sung with a high-tension dance tune and choreography as sharp as the original artists.

At this point, the dance members left the stage. The main vocalists, Ms. Hirokawa and Ms. Mikina, performed a duet of "Lion" ("Macross F" opening theme). The two, who sometimes sang in unison and especially in a pleasant harmony, sounded like Cheryl and Ranka, the singers who sang this song in the movie. The energetic stage presence of the duo was already at its peak!

Cover songs and original songs enlivened the middle of the show.

Taking a short break, the MC talked about each member's favorite and memorable anime. Misato Matsuda, whose profile stated "I know a lot about Otome games," showed her love for anime by saying "Kise-kun from Kuroko no Basketball is my favorite! She excited the audience by expressing her love for anime.

Also, each member had a solo performance at this live, and Hazuki Sakamoto was the first to perform solo. Ms. Sakamoto, who usually has a strong lacrimal gland, calmly sang "Te wo Tsunagagou," the theme song of "Doraemon: Nobita to Midori no Kyojin Densetsu" (Doraemon: Nobita and the Green Giant), a memorable anime that made her cry even after watching the movie.

After such a moving stage performance, the group was changed to "Ojamajo Doremi" cosplay, and sang the opening theme song "Ojamajo Carnival! the opening theme song of the movie. In addition, "Hajimete no Chu" (ending theme of "Kiteretsu Hyakka") and "Pikachu no Uta" (ending theme of "Pokemon XY&Z"), theme songs of family-oriented anime loved beyond generations, were performed by dance members Sakamoto, Matsuda, and Ririka Kodama. The songs were performed by dance members Ms. Sakamoto, Ms. Matsuda, and Ms. Ririka Kodama.

In the middle part of the live, the audience was treated to a flurry of upper-class songs, including songs that symbolize the "present" of anime songs and anime songs sung by WASUTA.

First, Ms. Hirokawa sang "crossing field" ("Sword Art Online" opening theme) as a solo with great power. After she sang the original song, she mentioned the title of LiSA's anime songs one after another during the MC. When Mr. Matsuda, who loves anime, came on stage, he exclaimed, "I'm so excited! He exclaimed. It seemed that anime fans had something in common with each other.

Next, "WASUTA" sang the original song "Guchoki Pants no Masayoshi-san" (the ending theme of "Hebot! ending theme), "Pawawawawan! Powerpuff Girls" (official dance music of "Powerpuff Girls"), originally sung by "WASUTA". While "Guchoki Pants no Masayoshi-san" showed a fun choreography to the comical song, "Pawa Wawa Wawa! Powerpuff Girls," the five showed off their cool EDM and dance moves.

After this, Matsuda sang "U&I" (the song in the "K-ON!!!" play) and Kodama sang "K-ON!!!". ) and "Sorairo Days" (opening theme of "Gurren Lagann") by Kodama.
