The location of the east-west free passageway on the Denkigai Exit side has been changed due to the construction of the new Akihabara Building (tentative name)

With the construction of the new Akihabara Building (tentative name), the location of the East-West free passageway on the Electric Town Exit side of JR Akihabara Station has been changed toward the Akihabara Station South Intersection.




The East-West Free Passage is a connecting passageway between the Electric Town Exit (where Atre Akihabara 1 is located) and the JR Central Gate (where Yodobashi Camera is located).

According to the "Notice of East-West Walkway Changeover" posted on the side of the walkway, "Due to the new construction of Akihabara Building (tentative name), a part of the East-West Walkway has been changed. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and ask for your understanding and cooperation".

This change is scheduled from today, Thursday, May 11 to mid-June.
