Summer anime "Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST" reveals new visuals and character setting drawings! OP theme is performed by GRANRODEO!

A new key visual, new character setting images, and OP/ED theme information have been released from the TV anime "Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST," which will start in July 2017.

Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST" is the latest work of Kazuya Minekura's popular "Saiyuki" comic series. It features a boldly rearranged style based on the "Saiyuki" manga, which is well known by all, and depicts the activities of Genjo Sanzo and others who head west to prevent the resurrection of the great monster "Gyumawang". The TV anime adaptation was announced in January 2017.

Characters
Kinsei Doji (CV: Toshihiko Seki)

Nephew of Kannon Bosatsu. Although he has a high status as a celestial being, his job mainly consists of looking over documents, and he has grown tired of the peaceful life in the heavenly realm. However, through the influence of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, he meets Wukong, and under the influence of Tenpoku and Makinen, his life is transformed.

General Makinoren (CV: Hiroaki Hirata)

General of the Army of the Western Heavenly Realm. He is a man who looks like a grown-up kid general, and his subordinates love him for his manly personality and his ability to take care of them. Because of his bad behavior and willingness to be rough, he is not well-liked by his superiors, especially his boss, the Dragon King, with whom he does not get along.

Goku (CV: Soichiro Hoshi)

Goku (CV: Hoshi Soichiro) is a heretical being, neither a monster nor a human, who was born from a huge rock at the top of Mount Huaguo. He was brought to Kannon Bodhisattva because he possesses the Golden Harume, which is said to be the source of good fortune. He is an energetic, lively, and innocent boy.

General Tenpoku (cv. Akira Ishida)

General of the Army of the Western Heavenly Realm. He is highly respected by his superior, the Dragon King, as an excellent soldier, but despite being a general, he serves as his second-in-command. He is famous for his aloof and elusive personality and is known as an eccentric, always going at his own pace. He is not good at keeping things tidy, but brings back strange things from the lower world, so his room is always dirty.
