The first "Macross" orchestra concert "Super Dimension Orchestra" will be held on September 17!

The first orchestra concert of the anime "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross," "Macross 35th Anniversary x Kentaro Haneda 10th Memorial Super Dimension Orchestra remember Healthy Wings Orchestra," will be held at the Tokyo International Forum on September 17, 2017 (Sunday).




The Super Dimension Fortress Macross" is a science fiction anime that was broadcast from October 1982 to June 1983. It is a popular work that depicts life-size young people in a grand story of interstellar war with aliens, with a variety of actions by "Valkyrie," a variable fighter plane, a novel setting of culture shock to enemies by "singing," and a "love triangle" between a pilot, a female superior officer, and an idol singer, among many other ideas. The latest TV anime is scheduled to be broadcast in 2018.

This time, to coincide with the 35th anniversary of "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross" and the 10th anniversary of the death of Kentaro Haneda, the musician in charge of its theme song and accompaniment, the "Macross" series' first orchestra concert "Macross 35th Anniversary x Kentaro Haneda 10th Memorial Super Dimension Orchestral Music remember Healthy Wings Orchestra" will be held. At this concert, visitors will be able to enjoy many masterpieces performed by a full orchestra of 80 members, and staff members who were involved in music production and direction together with Kentaro Haneda at the animation production site will talk about the secret stories of the production at that time. In addition, Mari Iijima will return to Japan specially for this performance and perform the voice of the legendary diva Lin Ming-mei.
