Releasing her best album and holding a live concert! Interview with Hiroko Kasahara, who is celebrating her debut anniversary as a singer!

Hiroko Kasahara, voice actress, will hold a one-woman live concert "Hiroko Kasahara Singer Debut Un-anniversary Special Live - Slow Glass Shine" on June 25, 2017 (Sunday). Tickets for this event sold out immediately after they went on sale, and with the release of her 30th anniversary best album "Hiroko Kasahara 1987-1998" on April 26, the anniversary year has suddenly become more and more exciting. We asked Ms. Kasahara to talk about her upcoming live performances!

──Your Christmas live concert at the end of last year ( click here for the live report) was a great success, wasn't it?

Kasahara: Thank you very much. I thought we would be performing Christmas songs since it was a Christmas live, but I was able to sing various songs at my own pace and songs that had not seen the light of day before, which was great for me. （The live performance with Junichi Saito (of the backing band "Ishtels Special") made me realize that there were so many good songs that had been left unexplored.

─ Personally, I was thrilled to hear the song "Jutta Choujin Araru" performed live.

Kasahara "Airu" has many fans, and it is a work that I have fond memories of, so I really wanted to sing it. There are so many songs, and Masayuki Yamamoto's songs are also very deep. The lyrics based on the characters are interesting and lovingly written. Maybe we'll sing it at the next concert!

─ ─ In between songs, there were skits, and I was able to enjoy your charm as an actor as well.

Kasahara Thank you very much. I am glad that we were able to include a little theatrical element. I'm still coming up with ideas for the next show, saying, "I think I can do something like this.

I am overflowing with things I want to do!

─ ─ I heard that the tickets for the next concert were sold out immediately after they went on sale.

Kasahara I was the most surprised myself (laughs).

───Your best album "Hiroko Kasahara 1987-1998" was released in April.

Kasahara Yes, of course. Of course, I will be singing from that album as well. The reason I decided to do the live concert this time is because Warner released a CD to commemorate the 30th anniversary. I feel a bit embarrassed to be called a "singer," but I'm going to go out on a limb here and commemorate the 30th anniversary of my debut as a singer!

─ I read on your blog that the live concert will be a "guide to your memories.

Kasahara That's right. When you do something, you sometimes need a guide, don't you? This time, I want to convey my feelings passionately in both talk and song. My mind is already overflowing with ideas. ...... I'm having a hard time because I spilled my drink.

─ Drinks?

Kasahara Recently, I've been spilling my drink a lot, so I got curious and did some research, and it seems that when you spill your drink, you are overflowing with emotion. I have a lot of things I want to do right now, and I'm slowly bringing them to fruition in the live performance on the 25th.
