A visual of a part of "Godzilla" appearing in "GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters" has been unveiled. The visual is a high-contrast silhouette. Its length and body color have not yet been announced, but it looks different from "Shin Godzilla.

The third teaser visual was also released, showing Godzilla with the catch copy "Hopelessness is evolving.

Director Kofumi Shizuno commented on the release of the new visuals, "Toho gave us permission from the beginning not to be tied down to the previous Godzilla films, so we were able to take some liberties and create a cool Godzilla that could only be created in an anime. I think we were able to create a cool Godzilla that is unique to anime.
Co-director Hiroyuki Seshimo commented, "The unique body structure and accumulation of muscle fibers to support the enormous mass of Godzilla has resulted in an incredibly muscular form. It is a terrifying yet divine creature that makes us, the creators, prostrate ourselves, an overwhelming presence that shakes the entire film. That is the Godzilla of this film.
Yoshihiro Furusawa of Toho, the executive producer of the film, commented, "After 20,000 years of growth as a life form, Godzilla, the largest Godzilla ever created, has been born, surpassing even the individual that appears in "Shin Godzilla". Please look forward to the sight of Godzilla, which has reigned on Earth for so long and established its own ecosystem. The film's release date is also set for 2017.

It was also announced that the film will be released nationwide on November 17, 2017 (Friday).
