The trailer for the second chapter "Launching Arc" from the "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" anime has been released!

The first advance screening of the second chapter "Launching Arc" was held at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo on Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

Before the screening, Sayaka Kanda, who plays Teresa, the legendary goddess who appears in all seven chapters of the series and holds the key to the story, Aya Uchida, who plays Yuria Misaki, Eriko Nakamura, who plays Mikage Kiryu, director Nobuyoshi Habara, and series director Harutoshi Fukui took the stage to talk about the film.

When asked by Director Habara and Ms. Fukui why they invited three female cast members to this "girls' talk" event, they replied, "We want to talk about the world of 'Space Battleship Yamato,' which can be enjoyed by women as well, from a female perspective.

The female cast members were then asked about their "favorite character" as if it were a girl's night out. Ms. Kanda chose Teresa, the character she plays, as her favorite character. She said that Teresa is a mysterious yet motherly character, and that she would like to become an adult woman herself.

When asked about recommended scenes, Ms. Nakamura, who calls herself an "ichifan," appealed that she liked some scenes so much that she "wanted to say the conte number. While he was troubled by the fact that there were so many scenes he could recommend, he also mentioned "the touch of the water splash when Yamato comes out of the water" and said that he would like the audience to see the touch that only director Habara could give, and he excited the audience with his passionate fan-like talk.

As the audience talked about the charms of the film from their own perspectives, it was announced that Ms. Kanda would be in charge of the ED theme "Tsuki no Kagami" (Mirror of the Moon). About the song, Ms. Kanda said, "It is a mysterious and warm song. I would like to continue singing it," said Ms. Kanda, who appealed to the audience to immerse themselves in the afterglow of the work with the beautiful Japanese lyrics. Director Habara, who heard the song, said that the transparency of the song and the clarity of her singing voice touched his heart and inspired him to create the film.

At this event, Kanda-san had a surprise in store for the audience.

The staff of "Space Battleship Yamato 2202" presented her with a surprise gift for her recent marriage. Mr. Nobuteru Yuki, who is in charge of character design, presented Mr. and Mrs. Kanda with a colorful paper with their portraits drawn on it. The paper was a tribute to "Farewell Space Battleship Yamato: Warriors of Love," released in 1978, with portraits of Mitsuru Murata as the main character Susumu Ancient and Mrs. Kanda as Moriyuki. I'm going to keep it as a family heirloom!

The event ended with a message from the speakers to the fans.
