Summer Anime "Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST" Arrives with First Episode Advance Cut and Comments, as well as New Guest Character Setup Drawings

An advance screening of the TV anime "Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST," which will start in July 2017, was held at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills on Saturday, June 17, where advance cuts of the first episode, cast recording comments, and new guest character setting images were shown.

Saiyuki Reload Blast" is the latest work in Kazuya Minekura's popular "Saiyuki" comic series. It features a boldly rearranged style based on the "Saiyuki" manga, which is well known by all, and depicts the activities of Genjo Sanzo and his friends as they head west to prevent the resurrection of the great monster "Gyumao". The TV anime adaptation was announced in January 2017, and in May it was also announced that GRANRODEO would take charge of the OP theme.

On June 17 (Sat), a special advance screening was held at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, where the first and second episodes were screened ahead of the TV anime broadcast.
At the event, it was announced that a drama CD would be released, an exhibition of original artwork would be held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original serialization, and a collaboration café would be set up. The following are scene cuts from the first episode, comments from the cast about the first episode, and set pictures of the guest characters.
