The "Dark Universe" series has created quite a stir with the announcement that Universal Studios' monster movies will be remade and adapted into a series for the next generation. It has been announced that Tomoyuki Morikawa and other members of the splendid cast will handle the dubbing for "The Mummy: Princess of the Cursed Desert," the latest in the series.

The "Dark Universe" series has been attracting a great deal of attention around the world with the announcement of the remake and adaptation for the next generation of Universal Studios' monster movies such as "Dracula" (1931) and "Frankenstein" (1931), which have continued to fascinate people around the world.
As the first film to kick off this new history, "The Mummy Reborn" (1932), the prototype of the mummy character, will be reborn as the action-adventure blockbuster "The Mummy: Curse of the Desert Princess" starring Tom Cruise, one of Hollywood's biggest stars. The film will be reborn and released in theaters nationwide on July 28 (Friday).

Tomoyuki Morikawa, Miyuki Sawashiro, Kazuhiro Yamaji, Yuichi Nakamura, Botto Takaoka, and Tatsuo Suzuki have been announced as the Japanese dubbing cast.

Story
In the scorching sun of the modern Middle East, U.S. military official Nick (Tom Cruise) and archaeologist Jenny (Annabelle Wallis) discover a huge coffin hidden in a mysterious underground cavern.
They transport the coffin to investigate, but the plane crashes due to unexpected circumstances. Nick, who was supposed to have died instantly, next wakes up to find himself lying in the morgue unharmed. Confused, Nick leaves with Jenny to search for the coffin.
　At the same time Nick wakes up, in the suburbs of London where the plane crashed, Amanet (Sofia Boutella), an ancient Egyptian princess who was once betrayed by Pharaoh and turned into an evil monster and sealed in a coffin for revenge, has returned to the present day and is about to begin her revenge against humanity after a lapse of 5,000 years. -The film is based on the novel by the same director as the film.
