Prior to the broadcast, "TV anime "KAKETSUKE KEGURUI" premiere screening" was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo on June 23 (Fri.)! Premiere Screening" was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo on June 23 (Fri.).

The story of "Gaket Kegurui-" is about a mysterious transfer student, Yumeko Jabami, who challenges various gambling games at Hyakkaou Academy, a prestigious school where the children of influential Japanese politicians and businessmen gather and where their gambling skills such as "bargaining," "mind reading," and "winning strength" decide everything. Directed by Yuichiro Hayashi of "GARO", series composition by Yasuko Kobayashi of "Shinkage no Kyojin", character design by Manabu Akita of "Rage of Bahamut: VIRGIN SOUL", and animation production by "Yuri! on ICE" and "In a Corner of the World" by MAPPA.

The event, which was held on a weekday as the broadcast was approaching on July 1 (Saturday), was packed with many fans, and their enthusiasm was a reflection of the high expectations for this work. The following is a report on the talk and special game corner held after the advanced screening.

Saori Hayami (Yumeko Snake), Mimi Tanaka (Meari Saotome), Tatsuya Tokutake (Ryota Suzui), Yuki Wakai (Izuki Koh), and Tetsuya Yanagihara, a comedian and American crayfish, took the stage as MC.

The event began with an advance screening of the first and second episodes. The audience watched the high-quality visuals and the tension-filled psychological battles unfold one after the other with a sense of urgency that even they could not hold their breath.

After the screening, four cast members, Ms. Hayami, Mr. Tanaka, Mr. Tokutake, and Ms. Wakai, appeared in the audience, which was filled with applause.

When asked about the appeal of the work, they talked about the gripping psychological battles and unique characters, calling it an "adrenaline-secreting anime.

Ms. Hayami, who plays the main character Yumeko, said that this work has a newness that has not been seen in recent anime, and described how everyone's acting evolved during the recording sessions. Tanaka-san, who plays Meari, and Wakai-san, who plays Izuki, both commented on the amazing changes in facial expressions and the impact of the faces of the characters they play. In particular, all cast members were in awe of the spectacular performance of Yumeko, played by Ms. Hayami, and the audience, who had just finished watching the advance screening, applauded loudly.

During the event, a game project linked to Twitter, "Who will win? A game corner titled "Indian Poker," a real psychological battle, was also held.

Indian Poker" is a game in which players place a drawn card on their foreheads, watch the reactions of those around them, and decide whether or not to change the card, which can only be done once, to determine the winner by the size of the card. Mr. Tanaka and Ms. Tokutake had already experienced this game at Machi★Asobi (a large-scale event held in Tokushima Prefecture) in May of this year. Having lost that time, Mr. Tanaka was eager to take revenge this time.

The rule of the game was that the only response was an "ooh," and the audience joined in the game by cheering for the cast members. Based on the audience's reaction and each other's words, the cast members carefully decided whether or not to change cards.

Tanaka declared at first that he would not change cards, but in fact he drew the weakest card, the "2," and the audience, which could see all the cards, was very pleased. In the end, Mr. Tanaka, who had drawn a "2" of hearts, did not change his card, and the contest ended up the same as at Machi★Asobi, with Mr. Tanaka losing again and Mr. Tokutake winning, and the audience bursting into laughter.

However, "Gaket Kegurui-" does not end there. In the work, women who lose are called "Mike" and men are called "Pochi," and are treated as domestic animals. If you lose, you are punished by being told, "I, Mimi Tanaka, am the losing cat! The audience was thrilled to see Tanaka-san's serious frustration as she slammed the floor in a crumpled state after she loudly and desperately delivered her punishment line, a scene that could be described as the very image of Meari in the film.

The cast concluded the performance by saying, "I hope everyone can watch the show with their adrenaline in full swing. (Ms. Wakai), "I hope everyone can watch it while breaking out in a cold sweat along with Suzui-kun." (Ms. Suzui), "The visuals are amazing, and Yumeko's performance in particular has always drawn me in, so I hope you will enjoy watching the full-length version with your hands sweating! (Ms. Tanaka said, "The film is the embodiment of the thrill and tension of the original story and the sweaty hands of the characters. When I play Yumeko, I expose everything to the audience, so I hope you can see that in my performance. The event ended with a great success.

The TV anime "KAKETSUKEGURUI" is scheduled to start airing on MBS, TOKYO MX, and other stations from July 1 (Sat).
