Dive into the world of the TV animation "DIVE! Dive into the world of "DIVE! Report on the "Cast and DIVE! ~Pre-Broadcast Event" Event Report

The TV anime "DIVE!" will begin airing on Thursday, July 6, 2017. . On June 25 (Sun), before its first broadcast, "DIVE! -Pre-broadcast Event Edition" was held at the United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba, Tokyo, on June 25 (Sun.) before the first broadcast. The first and second episodes were previewed, and a talk show was also held with the cast members on stage.

On stage were Hiroki Kaji as Tomoki Sakai, Takahiro Sakurai as Yoichi Fujitani, Yuichi Nakamura as Jubetsu Okitsu, and Tomokazu Sugita as Atsuhiko Yamada. Qyoto, who sings the opening theme song, and Yuta Hashimoto, who sings the ending theme song, performed the theme song for the event.

DIVE! is based on a novel by Eto Mori, known for "Colorful," which has also been made into an anime. In December 2016, it was announced that an anime adaptation would be made and that Hiroki Kaji would play the role of the main character, Sakai Tomoki. First of all, the first and second episodes were previewed, and the fans who gathered at the venue enjoyed the full-length anime earlier than the OA. The scene of Nakamura's character, Okitsu, was particularly striking against the cool blue of the summer sky and water.

After the preliminary screening, the audience was invited to a corner titled "Talk with the Cast! corner.

Mr. Kaji, Mr. Sakurai, Ms. Nakamura, and Ms. Sugita took the stage and first introduced the characters they play.

In the original story, the characters are aiming for the Sydney Olympics in 2000 (in the anime, they are aiming for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020), and Mr. Kaji, who was in the second year of junior high school in 1998 like Tomoki, was deeply moved by the link between the characters he plays and the story he is telling.

The MC asked the audience if they wanted to hear the character's lines, which were shown on the screen along with the character's introduction. The audience then got in on the act and asked the cast for their lines, and the cast members performed their lines while looking at the screen behind them.

Nakamura-san, who had read the flow of the show, tried to say Kaname's lines before Sakurai-san did, and when it was Nakamura-san's turn, he showed his serviceability by saying his lines before the characters were introduced. This drew laughter from the audience. Nakamura talked about how Okitsu, the character he plays, looks more like a character from a robot anime than any of the other characters. The last performer, Sugita-san, actually had no lines in the first two episodes, so his performance on stage was the first time the audience heard Atsuhiko's voice. After performing his lines, he further excited the audience by explaining that the character, who had not appeared in episodes 1 and 2, was in a position similar to a certain character in a certain robot anime.

Next, the audience was invited to the "DIVE! VR Lesson" corner.

At this point, Ms. Kaji and Ms. Sugita left the stage and the remaining two explained about the "DIVE! VR Lesson" scheduled for release on July 21. The audience was impressed by Ms. Nakamura's easy-to-understand explanation of the VR equipment set up at the venue on behalf of the staff, but the audience was surprised when she said that the reason she knew so much about it was because she actually owned a copy. As Mr. Sakurai, who had experienced the game before, was talking about how that was his first VR experience, Mr. Kaji and Ms. Sugita reappeared on stage wearing jerseys. First, Mr. Kaji decided to try it. The audience smiled as they watched Ms. Kaji perform with the character she plays, as she climbed up on the diving board and took on the challenge while being taught by Tomoki.

The opening and closing live performances followed.

Rock band Qyoto performed the opening theme song "Taiyo mo Hitori (The Sun is Alone)" and Yuta Hashimoto performed the ending theme song "NEW WORLD.
