She sang 16 songs including popular anime songs! Hiroko Kasahara Singer Debut Un-anniversary Special Live "Slow Glass Shine" Report

On Sunday, June 25, 2017, voice actress Hiroko Kasahara held a one-woman live concert "Hiroko Kasahara Singer Debut Un Anniversary Special Live - Slow Glass Shine".

This live concert was planned to coincide with the release of "Hiroko Kasahara 1987-1998," the best album celebrating the 30th anniversary of her debut as a singer. 16 songs, mainly anime songs included in the album, were performed by a live band.

Many anime songs were sung along with memories of the works!

The venue was TAKE OFF7 in Shibuya, the same venue as "Hiroko Kasahara Xmas Special Live - Eve no Yuushi-ichikara" held in December last year! Many fans lined up in front of the venue even before the show began in anticipation of seeing Ms. Kasahara for the first time in a long time.

The live performance started with full anticipation. The curtain rose with "Slow Glass Shine," sung softly to the accompaniment of keyboard music. This song is the title of this live performance as well as the title song of Hiroko Kasahara's debut album as a singer, which can be said to be the starting point of her career.

At the previous concert, the performance was impressive with skits and skits, as Ms. Kasahara also holds storytelling events, and of course this performance was no exception. After "Slow Glass Shine," Mr. Kasahara and other junior actors from his office appeared on stage and read monologues that evoked the lyrics and images of the songs.

At some point, the audience was transported back in time to the era when Ms. Kasahara made her debut as a singer. From here, with Ms. Kasahara as a guide, a journey through her music begins.

In her blog and interviews, Ms. Kasahara has said that she wanted this live performance to be a "guide to her memories," and as she said, she talked about her feelings and circumstances at that time along with her songs. First, she talked about how her life as a singer began with the recording of her debut song "Confession: Ai no Josee" (image song from the manga "Champagne Shower"), and then the live performance resumed. He then started to perform a series of memorable anime songs in which he himself had appeared as a voice actor.

Starting with "Watashi no ANDROID-kun", a character song of Sango Otoshima, the heroine of "Jutta Choujin Aaru", reminiscent of a royal idol pop song, she performed "Assemble Insert", the OP theme of the OVA "Assemble Insert", whose upper rock sound made the audience's tension soar, The parade of songs included "Magical Angel Sweet Mint" OP theme "Fushigi no Kuni no Sweet Mint" and "Soyokaze no Sonatine", a character song of Kaze Hououji from the anime "Magic Knight Rayearth", all of which were, to put it mildly, "very hot".

One of the most exciting songs was "Mystery Land's Sweet Mint. When the fans called out in unison, "That's a sweet mint," a smile broke out on Kasahara's face. It was a moment when the sense of unity in the venue increased at once.

The most moving moment for me personally was the performance of "Sora e...", the OP theme of the anime "Romeo no Aoi Sora (Romeo's Blue Sky)". This melancholy song with exotic sounds is still loved by anime fans as one of the most famous anime songs. Mr. Kasahara himself seems to be more attached to this song as a "singer" than others (he does not appear in this film as a voice actor). ) She sang the song with full of emotion, moving the audience with emotion.

The last song of the first half of the live, which consisted of popular anime songs, was "Yume no Nagisa ~The Silent Service~," the theme song of the OVA "Silence of the Fleet. The original arrangement of the song, which featured only the backing chorus and Kasahara's vocals, was transformed into a moody band sound for this special version performed only on that day.
