Welcome back, Uchi! Report on Aya Uchida's "Early Summer Party~Everlasting Parade~", which was mainly filled with EDM numbers!

Aya Uchida's live event "Early Summer Party ~SUMILE SMILE~ / ~Everlasting Parade~" was held at Shinkiba Studio Coast on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

EDM numbers were arranged by piano player!

This event featured the 1st single "SUMILE SMILE" released at the end of last year. The daytime session "~SUMILE SMILE~" consisted mainly of the title song, and the nighttime session "~Everlasting Parade~" consisted mainly of EDM numbers, including the coupling song "Everlasting Parade". Ms. Uchida, who has been recovering from throat surgery, brought a big smile to the all-standing audience that filled the Studio Coast.

When the curtain covering the stage opened, Aya Uchida, clad in a polka dot costume, stood in the center of the stage. Since it had been a while since Uchida had performed live due to throat treatment, many fans had packed Shinkiba Studio Coast for her first live performance in a while. The first song, "Floating Heart," was sung lightly as the all-standing audience of about 2,000 burst into joy. The first song was a lighthearted rendition of "Floating Heart," which was followed by "Party Hour Surprise! During this song, she mispronounced the lyrics and giggled, but her reaction to the live performance was extraordinarily cute, and I think this is one of the reasons why she is so loved by the audience.

When she told the audience that she would deliver the daytime show with a band, but the nighttime show would be almost entirely by herself, she said, "I hope you will wave your penlights and make the nighttime parade more exciting," and then she performed "Merry Go. The flashing penlights and a giant mirror ball colored the venue like a starry sky. Ms. Uchida herself shook the penlights and charmed the audience with her elongated falsetto and cute singing voice. For a change, "Off the Lead" turned the venue red and blue as she sang in a serious voice.

With keyboards ready on stage, Yasuhiro Sakurada and I delivered "Don't Laugh". Originally a sad EDM style song, it took on a completely different atmosphere when arranged with a piano player. The vocals singing of sad love were even more heartbreaking. The same group performed "Pink Magenta," a live favorite. The arrangement of this song was also quite different from the techno-style original, but the way the keyboard and vocals gradually became more powerful toward the latter half of the song was amazing.
