Japanese Kawaii Anime Song Idols Transcended Borders and Dimensions to Perform to a Full House in LA

On Friday, June 30, 2017, "Anisong World Matsuri at Anime Expo 2017 ~Japan Kawaii Live~" was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, USA.

The event was held within one of the largest anime conventions in North America (ANIME EXPO 2017), and was produced by a team of leading Japanese entertainment companies to provide anime song fans from around the world with the same high quality live stage performances as those in Japan. Four anime song artists performed: Aqours, JUNNA & Minori Suzuki from Walkure, THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS, and Wake Up, Girls! The sold-out show featured powerful performances in front of an audience of 7,000, and local fans were enthralled by the Japanese anime songs on stage.

Even before the show began, T-shirts for the event and CDs and goods of the performers were sold at the goods sales corner outside the venue, and most of the foreign fans in the hall were wearing anime goods and T-shirts with the same enthusiasm as in Japan.

The top performer was THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS. Tomoko Iida (Kanade Hayami), Hiromi Igarashi (Anzu Futaba), Tomoyo Kurosawa (Miria Akagi), Asami Takano (Frederica Miyamoto), Rei Matsuzaki (Kirari Moroboshi), and Haruka Kamura (Mika Jogezaki) were the first Idolmaster girls to step on stage in North America. The event started with the all-star performance of "Star! followed by "GOIN'! followed by "GOIN'! After a short MC introducing themselves and reviewing the anime, they performed "Yumeiro Harmony", "Yes! and the theme song of the TV anime "THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS" to the theme song of PS VR "THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS: VIEWING REVOLUTION", the audience's spirits were lifted. Finally, "Please. Cinderella Girls", a representative song of Cinderella Girls, was sung! Cinderella" was sung and the part ended.

Next to appear on stage were the seven members of Wake Up, Girls! They sang "Tachiagare! and "Shoujo Symphony" in succession, followed by a greeting to the audience in English, which they had memorized for today. And love? I'm a tyrant in love! They sang "Beyond the Bottom" and "7 Girls War" in a cute and popular song. The audience was captivated by their intense but well-matched dance moves, and they continued with a breathtaking and captivating stage performance until the last song "Gokujo Smile". The comical dance was a rich performance reminiscent of a musical.

Next on stage were JUNNA and Minori Suzuki, two representatives of Valkyrie. They sang "Koi! Halation the War", the song from "Macross Delta" that inspired their own birth, the venue was covered with psyllium. After singing the killer tune "Nai nai borderline", they introduced themselves. With the group's first overseas live on their backs, the two performed in English as best they could. The audience cheered for them as they sang "Nai nai borderline", "Bokura no senjo", and "Hitotsu dake no koi nara (If it's only love once)". The last song was "Rungu ga shikkari tora" (When Lun glows), and the audience joined in with calls to the song as the duo finished their own part of the show with great excitement.

The last act of "Japan Kawaii Live" was Aqours. The audience cheered loudly as the nine cast members took the stage. After performing "Aozora Jumping Heart," a giant screen in the center of the stage showed a live performance of the TV anime "Love Live! Sunshine! The excitement of the audience reached the maximum and the loudest screams were heard so far. The self-introduction and MC by the members were led by Rikako Aida and Nanaka Suwa, who did their best in English, which looked healthy to the overseas fans. and "Koi ni naritai AQUARIUM" (I want to be in love with you, AQUARIUM). The link to the anime PV projected on the screen further enlivened the audience, and they closed the stage with "MIRAI TICKET," an insert song from the 13th episode of the TV anime, and "Yume Utau yo Yume Utao" (Let's Sing Yume Instead of Talking about Yume).

After the performers left the stage, the fans started a big encore. Here, all of today's performers appeared on stage again. At the end, all the performers thanked the audience with "Thank you! and thanked the audience.
