Autumn Anime "Kino's Journey the Beautiful World" Reveals Yuichiro Umehara, Ayane Sakura, and Other Additional Cast Members

Yuichiro Umehara, Ayane Sakura, and other additional cast members have been announced for the TV anime "Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series," which will begin airing this fall.

Kino's Journey the Beautiful World" is a light novel written by Keiichi Shigurezawa and illustrated by Kohaku Kuroboshi, published by Dengeki Bunko. The story is about Kino, a traveler who looks like a boy but is actually a girl, who travels around various countries with her partner, Hermes, a motrado (two-wheeled vehicle). Each story is like an independent fable. Each story is like an independent fable, a dark tale of human greed and emotions, picked up and depicted in an unobtrusive manner. Kino and Hermes are, so to speak, witnesses and bystanders. It is like reading a science fiction short story, wondering what kind of ending they will come up with.
A total of 13 episodes have been broadcast as a TV anime since April 2003, followed by the popular movie "Kino's Journey to Do Something -life goes on." in 2005 and the movie "Kino's Journey to the Land of Illness -For You-" in 2007. The TV anime adaptation was announced in March, and in June, it was announced that the broadcast would take place this fall.

The title of the new anime series is "Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series. The director is Tomohisa Taguchi of "Onmyoji of the Twins" and the animation production will be handled by Lerche of "Assassination Classroom" and "Kuzu no Honkai".

Five additional cast members were announced today, July 7: Yuichiro Umehara as Shizu, Kenichiro Matsuda as Riku, Ayane Sakura as Tea, Lynn as Master, and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Sidekick.

Aoi Yuuki will play the role of Kino, the main character of the film, and Souma Saito will play the role of Hermes.
