SOUND THEATRE × Natsume's Book of Friends 2018," a new type of music reading play from the TV anime "Natsume's Book of Friends," will be performed on January 6, 2018 (Saturday).

Natsume's Book of Friends" is a manga work serialized in "Monthly LaLa" (Hakusensha) by Yuki Midorikawa. It is a popular work that depicts the main character Takashi Natsume and his bouncer Nyanko sensei as they meet various people and youkai and grow up together.

SOUND THEATRE" is a "sound theater" that stimulates the audience's imagination to the limit by incorporating many elements that stimulate the five senses, including the stage design, lighting, special effects, and costumes, not to mention the "reading aloud" part, which is the foundation of a reading theater. The "SOUNDTHEATREx Natsume Yuujinchou ~Shuai Oto Gekijo no Chapters~" was held at the International Forum in September 2013, and in December 2015, a new type of music reading theater, "SOUNDTHEATREx Natsume Yuujinchou ~Shuai Oto Gekijo~" was held at the Maihama Amphitheater. In December 2015, "SOUNDTHEATRE x Natsume's Book of Friends: Chapter of the Gathering Sound Play" was performed again at the Maihama Amphitheater, and closed with great success.
