Among all the band-based animations with passionate performances and impressive scenes of band performances, this poll was won by selecting the work that is especially "cool". The winner of this poll was "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". The "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" won this year's vote for the most "cool" anime among those with impressive band performances. The impact of the famous episode "Live Alive," which produced the legendary anime song "God knows...," seems to have not faded even 10 years after its broadcast. Incidentally, this episode was written and directed by Hiroshi Yamamoto, who later worked on "Kannagi" and "Wake up, Girls!

In second place was the high school band anime "K-ON! which created a band craze among anime fans. This legendary anime not only created a band boom among anime fans, but was also a hit with the general public. It would be an exaggeration to say that without this work, there would be no major late-night anime to this day. ...... Fluffy Time" is still a classic even today! The top two works were by Kyoto Animation.

In third place was "Apollon on the Hill," a drama about a man and a woman who spend their adolescence playing jazz. The golden tag team of Shinichiro Watanabe, director of "COWBOY BEBOP," and Yoko Kanno, musician, drew much attention. The film, which uses a technique called rotoscoping to depict actual jazz standards by tracing live-action video footage, delivers a true-to-life band scene. The thrilling session scenes in the seventh and final episode are famous band scenes that anime fans should see!

In fourth place is "Tenshi no 3P!" currently airing, and in fifth place is "BanG Dream!" with a Budokan live concert coming up in August. Both are popular works in which beautiful girls play the sound of a band. In both cases, the cast members who play the characters actually perform in the bands at events, so it will be interesting to see what they do in the future.

In sixth place was "Macross 7," which aired in 1994! Listen to my song! and bursts onto the battlefield in a variable fighter Valkyrie. The hero, Hot Air Basara, is still talked about by anime fans to this day for his impactful performance, singing passionately on one side while shouting, "Listen to my song! The name of the band, Fire Bomber, as well as the name of the rock band to which he belongs, have left their mark on the history of anime. The song was sung by Yoshiki Fukuyama, who is also currently active in JAM PROJECT. His passionate shouts are still hot even today!

Looking at the top seven, "Masked Noise," "SONIANI," "Angel Beats," and "Kaze Natsu" were ranked in the top ten. The high quality of the music as well as the artwork was also a factor in the ranking of these works.
