Anime "Card Captor Sakura" BD & DVD BOX to be released in remastered 4K negative film scan! Newly recorded audio commentary also included!

From the TV anime "Card Captor Sakura," a new generation new master version Blu-ray/DVD box set with 4K scans of the original 35mm negative film will be released on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.




Card Captor Sakura" is a popular manga serialized in "Nakayoshi" (Kodansha) from 1996 to 2000 by CLAMP, the hit maker of "Magic Knight Rayearth" and "XXXHOLiC", etc. When the TV anime was broadcast on NHK in 1998, its popularity further accelerated. The popularity of CLAMP became a huge boom that transcended gender and generation. In 2016, the 20th anniversary of the serialization, a new chapter "Clear Card Arc" started in "Nakayoshi" magazine, and the TV anime "Clear Card Arc" will be broadcast in January 2018.

The new generation new master edition Blu-ray/DVD box set to be released this time includes all 70 episodes of the TV anime series, "Crow Card Arc" and "Sakura Card Arc". As mentioned above, the new generation new master, which is a 4K scan of the original 35mm negative film, is used to provide a clear image. The disc also includes non-transcription OP/ED and Card Captor Sakura SPECIAL "Crow Card Arc" and "Sakura Card Arc" as video extras. In addition, the audio bonus includes a newly recorded audio commentary with the voices of the cast, which you can listen to only now before the broadcast of the new chapter "Clear Card Arc". Synopsis

Sakura Kinomoto is a fourth grader who is good at physical education. One day, when Sakura came home from school, she felt someone in the basement storeroom, which was supposed to be empty. Sakura went downstairs and found a shiny golden book. Inside was a card, but as soon as she read out the words written on it, a violent wind blew and the card was scattered to pieces. A strange creature named Cerberus appeared from the book and said that when the Crow Card in the book was unsealed, a disaster would happen in this world. Cerberus then gives Sakura the key to the seal and orders her to become a card captor to capture the cards. From that night on, Sakura uses magic to confront the cards that have materialized... Will Sakura be able to restore all the cards?

Sakura is recognized as the new master of the "Crow Cards". A new term begins, and a mysterious transfer student named Eriol Hiiragizawa arrives in Sakura's class.
