Weak Mushi Pedal Re:GENERATION" to be released in theaters in October; theme song to be sung by Yusuke Saeki!

Weakmushi Pedal Re:GENERATION," which will be released in theaters in October 2017 and will consist of original scenes from the third season of the drama, will feature the theme song "Tsuyosa Yowasa," a new song written by singer-songwriter Yusuke Saeki.

The anime series "Wimpy Pedal" is based on the manga of the same title serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten) by Wataru Watanabe. As the title suggests, "NEW GENERATION" follows the passionate drama of the "new generation team" of the Sohoku High School Cycling Club, including the main character, Sakamichi Onoda. Following the third season series, "New Generation," which aired from January to June 2017, the fourth series will air from January 2018, and in October, a movie version, "Weak Mushi Pedal Re:GENERATION," will be released.

The theme song for "Weak Mushi Pedal Re:GENERATION" will be "Tsuyosa Yowasa," a new song written by singer-songwriter Yusuke Saeki.

Mr. Saeki has written songs for such well-known artists as Arashi and Kana Nishino, and made his CD debut as a singer with "Nowoa Never" in February 2017. The song was used as the ED theme for the first episode of "Wimpy Pedal NEW GENERATION," and the second single "Takaitekoro" was also the ED theme for the second episode, making her a familiar singer to fans of the "Wimpy Pedal" anime. She will sing the theme song for "Wimpy Pedal Re:GENERATION", the third tie-up with "Wimpy Pedal".

Saeki said, "I am very honored to be in charge of the theme song for "Weak Mushi Pedal Re:GENERATION" following the ED for the third season of the anime!　TsuyosaYowasa" was written from a new perspective after being in charge of the third season of the anime, and it is different and hotter than the two songs I wrote before the anime started. I am looking forward to seeing it on the big screen in the theater! commented the director.

The CD of "Tsuyosa Yowasa" will be released on October 4 (Wed.) and will be the theme song of "TV Drama Version: YAMUSUME PEDAL" Season 2, which will start on August 18 (Fri.) on BS SKY PerfecTV! ), and will be released as a double A-side single with the theme song "I have to go" of the "TV Drama Version: YAMAMUSHI PEDAL" Season 2 (which will start airing on BS SKY Perfect!
