Puella Magi Madoka Magica" is an original anime work that depicts the harsh fate of girls who become "magical girls" and fight against the enemies of mankind in exchange for the fulfillment of their wishes. The film was released in 2011. An animated film "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie" was also produced, and in 2012, "[Part 1] Begginings" and "[Part 2] Eternal Story," which are re-edited versions of the TV series, were released, followed by the completely new "[New Part] Rebellion" in 2013. Directed by Akiyuki Shinbo of "Monogatari Series," script by Gen Urobuchi of "PSYCHO-PASS: Psycho-Pass," original character design by Ume Aoki of "Hidamari Sketch," and music by Yuki Kajiura of "Sword Art Online. Animation production is by Shaft, creator of "Monogatari Series" and "Hidamari Sketch.
