KADOKAWA ASCII MEDIA WORKS INC. is pleased to announce the release of "Love Live! Sunshine! Hanamaru Kunikida, a popular character from "Love Live!

The figure is based on the popular character from "Love Live! Sunshine! depicts nine girls who form "μ's" to save their alma mater from the danger of being closed down, and work hard in their idol activities. This is a new series of "Love Live! This new series is set in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and tells the story of the school idol group "Aqours," which was formed to enliven Uranosei Jogakuin, a private school in admiration of the "μ's. The TV anime was broadcast from July to September 2016, and the second season is scheduled to start airing in October.

KADOKAWA ASCII MEDIA WORKS has been conducting "Dengeki Special Project 25 series" to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the company's "Dengeki" brand. As a part of the project, the company is presenting the very popular anime and video game "Love Live! Sunshine! Aqours members' figurine project "Love Live! Sunshine! Birthday Figure Project" started this month, and on August 5, pre-orders for the first figure, "Kunikida Hanamaru", began at Dengeki-ya, the official online store of the Dengeki brand.

"Love Live! Sunshine! Birthday Figure Project" is based on the concept of celebrating the birthdays of the members of "Aqours" together, and features 1/8th scale figures of the nine members of Aqours, based on the illustrations of their costumes from the song "MIRAI TICKET. The products are scheduled to arrive around the month of each character's birthday, and will be available until early spring 2019. As a pre-order bonus, a special clear file featuring the illustration that served as the motif and a message card from each member will be included.

The second item will be "Yoh Watanabe," and reservations will begin on August 19.
