The "Dragon's Mouth Bamboo Lantern Festival" is held at Ryukuchi-ji Temple (Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture), which also appears in the film. About 5,000 bamboo lanterns are lined up every summer for the purpose of memorial services for the dead and to pray for wishes. On August 5 and 6, the period of the festival, bamboo lanterns with an original movie design were set up in the precincts of Ryukouji Temple and in the shopping streets leading to the temple from Enoshima Station and Koshigoe Station. The bamboo lanterns were made one by one with the cooperation of local students from Kamakura High School. The number of bamboo lanterns reached as many as 218.

In addition to the bamboo lanterns, there was also an objet d'art made of bamboo lanterns. Since this was the only section of the Enoshima rail line where the train runs through the shopping district, many people stopped to take pictures of the Enoden running amidst the lights.

In addition, to tie in with the storyline of the film, the Kotodama Radio, a program broadcast on a local radio station, called for "wishes to be fulfilled". The shopping street was decorated with one-of-a-kind bamboo lanterns inscribed with the messages of 30 people. The wishes that were solicited from the public ranged from warm wishes such as "I wish that everyone can spend their days with a smile on their face" to more sincere wishes such as "I wish to graduate from college in September. Passersby stopped in front of the lanterns and smiled at the "kotodama" of their own hearts. The most eye-catching message was "I will become an animator! The "Kimi no Koe wo Todokeitai" staff was surprised by this message. The film was filled with the hopes that the "kotodama" of these many people would be realized in the same way as the film itself.

In addition, from August, a limited edition local poster visual, newly drawn by character designer Toshinao Aoki, has been on display at all Enoshima Electric Railway stations. The refreshing visual features the main character Nagisa and her friends greeting each other across the Enoden station platform, with the beautiful summer sea in the background.
