[Suddenly! Voice Actor Bulletin] Yoshimasa Hosoya, who has been recuperating from throat treatment, makes a surprise comeback on the radio program "Genius Gunshi! His partner, Hiroki Yasumoto, also congratulated him.

Voice actor Yoshimasa Hosoya, who had been on hiatus since April 2017 for throat treatment, made an electrifying return to the "Genius Gunshi" radio program on August 6, 2017.

Yoshimasa Hosoya is a popular voice actor who can play a wide range of ages, from boys to young men, and has performed many roles including Kuranosuke Shiraishi in "The Prince of Tennis," Junpei Hyuga in "Kuroko no Basket," Rainer Braun in "Shinkage no Kyojin," Daryun in "Arslan Senki," and Olga Itsuka in "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blood Orphans. He has a number of representative works.

In April 2017, Mr. Hosoya announced on his radio program "Genius Gunshi" that he would be taking a leave of absence due to throat treatment. He had been inactive for some time, but made a surprise return to the radio program "Tensai Gunshi" on August 6, 2017.

In the program, he talked with his partner Hiroki Yasumoto for the first time in a while and also talked about his life during his absence, which pleased many fans who had been waiting for his return.

After the show, Yasumoto and the program's official Twitter page tweeted comments expressing their joy at Hosoya's return.

Since the notice of his absence has disappeared from Hosoya-san's official website, it is assumed that he will be returning to voice acting in earnest in the future. It shouldn't be long before we hear Hosoya-san's voice in anime again.

For now, welcome back!
