Kino's Journey the Beautiful World" is a light novel written by Keiichi Shigurezawa and illustrated by Kohaku Kuroboshi, published by Dengeki Bunko. The story is about Kino, a traveler who looks like a boy but is actually a girl, who travels around various countries with her partner, Hermes, a motrado (two-wheeled vehicle). A total of 13 episodes were broadcast as an animated TV series in April 2003, followed by the popular movie "Kino's Journey to Do Something -life goes on..." in 2005 and "Kino's Journey to the Land of Illness -For You-" in 2007. The TV anime adaptation was announced in March, and in June, it was announced that the broadcast would take place this fall.
