On September 2, 2017, the theatrical screening and Blu-ray pre-sale of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin Ⅴ Gekijutsu Ruum Kaisen" will begin. The second and third week stage greetings and the first 11 minutes of the film will be distributed.

The anime "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin" is based on the manga of the same title by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of the TV animation "Mobile Suit Gundam" broadcast in 1979. The event screening of the "Char Seira Arc," which depicts the eve of the One Year War from the viewpoint of the popular character Char Aznable, began in February 2015. It was announced that the "Char Seira Arc" would be completed with "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin IV: Eve of Destiny" and that the "Lum" Arc, which depicts the first battle of the One Year War, would be produced at the end of 2016 with a total of two episodes.

In addition, the participating members of the audio commentary, which will be an audio bonus of the Blu-ray, and the details of the distribution information of the film have been released.
