Tora no Ana Co., Ltd. is a company that handles a wide range of otaku culture-related content, in addition to operating the Comic Toranoana, a store and mail-order website that sells manga-related products, including fanzines.

Recently, the company made a big splash with the opening of "Torakikon," a marriage activity service for otaku. The announcement of the Kano sisters as the new commercial characters for "Toranoana" drew a large number of media outlets. The event was attended by many reporters.

Hirotaka Yoshida

First to speak was Hirotaka Yoshida, founder and current president of the company. After a presentation on various services such as "Toranoana Craft," a service that allows users to create and sell goods online and on demand, "FANTIA," a service that allows anyone to create a fan club, and the aforementioned "Toranokon," the much-anticipated Kano sisters made their appearance. As soon as the two sisters took the stage, the venue was filled with the indescribable fragrance of their fragrance, and the atmosphere was completely fabulous.

On August 11, the day before the presentation, the Kano sisters participated in Comic Market 92 at Ariake Big Sight. They distributed a coterie magazine by Kyoko and "Kano Sisters goods," which drew a great response.

According to the public relations department of Toranoana, "This is a challenge to make the Toranoana brand more major. In order to make "Toranoana" known to anime and manga lovers around the world, the two Kano sisters were chosen as ambassadors because they are not only beautiful and graceful, but also have an interest in otaku culture and are familiar to the general public," she said. When Kyoko first received the offer to be the ambassadors for the commercial, she was very happy because she loves not only tigers but also other cat animals and actually owns a Bengal and a serval cat.

Mika also said, "My sister (Kyoko-san) is called 'White Tiger' by the Good Looking Guys because she is not only strong but also has a weak side, and that is what makes her cute. The two smiled at the unexpected offer of a "tiger" connection.

The shooting of the commercial took place just as preparations for Comiket were in full swing, and according to Kyoko, she was "in a bad way.

Mika says that although they did not know much about Comiket at first, they deepened their understanding of Comiket culture by studying it day and night. Kyoko, on the other hand, was so engrossed in her creative work that she kept working on it without sleeping.

Incidentally, about 3,000 copies of the fanzine distributed at the event were brought in to the venue. They were sold out in no time. Mika commented that she would like to participate in the Winter Comic Market again if she is allowed to do so. Kyoko said that she is now eager to create her next work, and we will continue to keep an eye on their doujin activities.

15-second TV commercial

The key phrase in the commercial, "It's all done, isn't it? is a phrase that expresses the sisters' strong desire to challenge every desire offered by Toranoana to the very limits of what they can do.

In response to this question, Kyoko answered, "We live each moment to the fullest, so we don't think of it in terms of working hard. So we are always in a state of 'I'm doing it,'" to which Mika replied, "I'm always on the edge of my seat, taking care of my sister. Kyoko smiled at this and said, "I'm always exaggerating.

If you follow the official Twitter account of "Toranoana" and tweet your impressions of the commercial with the keyword "#It's so cute", which is also the keyword of the new commercial, you will be entered in a drawing to win a signed fanzine.

In addition, a collaboration between "Toranoana" and the Kano sisters is also in the works, so don't miss out if you are interested.
