Bem the Specter Man" and the new gag anime "Oretachi ya yokai ningen" for the 50th anniversary project will start airing in October! The role of Bem will be played by Tomokazu Sugita!

The "Specter Human Bem 50th Anniversary Project" has begun, and it has been announced that a new short animation "Oretachi ya yokai ningen" will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from October 2017, in addition to the 1968 and 2006 versions of the anime.

Since its first appearance on TV in 1968, "Bem the Specter Man" has been re-broadcast many times and has become a milestone in Japanese animation of the weird and wonderful. While the characters wish to become human and fight evil people and vengeful spirits in order to save humans, this work has also continued to express the weakness and ugliness of the human heart. The film has been remade and reworked over the years, but it has continued to carry the universal theme of "what kind of being is a human being?

This time, "Humanoid Monster Bem" has launched the "Humanoid Monster Bem 50th Anniversary Project" on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.

The project will not only shine a new light on "Humanoid Monster Bem," but also produce new works to provide a series of entertainment that will lay bare the existence of human beings in the modern age.

As a first step, it was announced that a new short animation "Oretachi ya Yokai Ningen" will be broadcast from October 2017 on TOKYO MX and other stations in addition to the 1968 and 2006 versions of the anime.

It will be produced by DLE, well known for "Taka no Tsume" and "Kaiyan Koinin".

Set in "Utamaracho," a town that resembles Kabukicho, where human desires and egos are swirling, how will Bem, Bella, and Bello survive their daily lives to become human?

The anime is a gag anime full of pop stories and social satire that is anything but elegant, and the cast has been announced.

Tomokazu Sugita will play Bem, Kana Kurashina will play Bella, and Kenta Suga will play Bello.
