The Great King & Emperor of the Anison World release their first duet song! Shoko Nakagawa and Akira Abe will release a school song for an ani-song program with lyrics by Shoko Nakagawa and Akira Abe!

The first duet song by Isao Sasaki, the great king of anime songs, and Ichiro Mizuki, the emperor, and the school song for the anime song program with lyrics also written by Shoko Nakagawa and Akira Abe, will be released on October 18, 2017 (Wednesday).



Anison Academy, a music program specializing in anime songs, began broadcasting on NHK-FM on April 6, 2013, and is now in its fifth year.
This spring, the school song produced to commemorate the program's 5th anniversary will finally be released.


The lyrics were co-written by Shoko Nakagawa aka "Shokotan" and Akira Abe, the program's personalities, composed by 92-year-old master Watanabe Hiroaki, and arranged by Kouhei Tanaka, a leading figure in the anime song world.


The highlight of the event will be the first joint performance by the great king and emperor of anime songs!


Surprisingly, this is the first time that Isao Sasaki and Ichiro Mizuki have sung a duet song together as a tag team.


This is sure to be a must-listen for all anime song fans, from adults to children.
