To commemorate the theatrical screening of the latest "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin: Gekijutsu Lum Kaisen" from September 2, 2017 (Saturday), BS SKY PerfecTV! Gundam creator Yoshikazu Yasuhiko appeared on the anime talk variety "Mu~Comi+ Plus TV presented by Animax". The program, in which Ms. Megumi Ban, who plays Seira Mas, will sneak into his workplace, will be broadcast on August 25 (Fri.).

The anime "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin" is based on the manga of the same title by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of the TV anime "Mobile Suit Gundam" broadcast in 1979. The event screening of the "Char Seira Arc," which depicts the eve of the One Year War from the viewpoint of the popular character Char Aznable, began in February 2015. It was announced that the "Char Seira Arc" would be completed with "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin IV: Eve of Destiny" and that the "Lum" Arc, which depicts the first battle of the One Year War, would be produced at the end of 2016 with a total of two episodes.

In commemoration of the theatrical screening of the latest "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin: Gekijo Lum Battle" on September 2, 2017 (Sat), BS SKY PerfecTV! and Nippon Broadcasting System's "MU~COMI+PLUS", an anime talk variety show "MU~COMI+PLUS TV presented by Animax" (hereinafter "MU~COMI+PLUS TV"), which began broadcasting in July 2017 as a collaboration project between BS SKY Perfect! (hereinafter referred to as "THE ORIGIN") series, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, general director and manga author, and Megumi Ban, who plays Seira Mas, will appear as guests on the second episode of "Mu~Comi + Plus TV" on Friday, August 25.

The interview will take place at Yasuhiko-san's home and workplace, where the audience will hear about the series' origins, from the first TV animation "Mobile Suit Gundam" (hereinafter referred to as "First Gundam") to the latest work, "THE ORIGIN".

He also talked about the characters that director Yoshiyuki Tomino created, including Lalaa Sun, played by Megumi Ban's mother, Keiko Ban, in "The First Gundam," and how Char's cape, a characteristic of his costume, was compared to an insect and used as a parody when it was first broadcast. A story about a famous manga artist who recommended Yasuhiko to "write manga with a brush" and many other secret stories appear.

In addition, the program will also include a glimpse into Yasuhiko's workroom with its vast collection of books, which is a must-see for Yasuhiko fans and Gundam fans alike!

Program MC: Announcer Naoki Yoshida (Nippon Broadcasting System, Inc.) Born in Tokyo on December 12, 1975.
After graduating from Keio University, he joined Nippon Broadcasting System, Inc. in 1999. Since then, he has continued to be a personality on All Night Nippon and other late-night broadcasts.
