TOKYO Gundam Project 2017" starts! Photo Deck will be set up from August 26 prior to the opening of the life-size Unicorn Gundam standing statue.

As part of the "TOKYO Gundam Project 2017," a "life-size Unicorn Gundam standing statue" will be exhibited at "DiverCity Tokyo Plaza Festival Plaza" from September 24 (Sun.). It was also announced that a photo deck will be set up from August 26 (Sat), before the opening.

The GREEN TOKYO Gundam Project, which drew 4.15 million visitors to Odaiba's Shiokaze Park in the summer of 2009 over a period of 52 days, has been a huge success, with the 18m life-size Gundam standing statue once again stepping onto the Tokyo land from spring 2012 to spring 2017, contributing to the revitalization of the Rinkai Fukutoshin area.
Now, it has been announced that a life-size Unicorn Gundam standing statue from "Mobile Suit Gundam UC (Unicorn)" will be newly exhibited.

As part of the "TOKYO Gundam Project 2017," it was announced that the "life-size Unicorn Gundam standing statue" will be on display at the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza Festival Plaza from September 24 (Sun.), and a photo deck will also be set up from August 26 (Sat.) to November 26 (Sun.) (scheduled), before the opening. The photo deck will be open from August 26 (Sat.) to November 26 (Sun.) (tentative).

The photo deck will be located in front of the full-size Unicorn Gundam statue in the Symbol Promenade Park before the statue is completed. Visitors will be able to freely take pictures of the life-size Unicorn Gundam standing statue before its completion, and photographers will be on hand to take pictures and sell photos on original mounts (1,500 yen including tax).

In addition, the "Gundam Trailer Shop," a trailer-type store selling Gundam-related products, will open at the Festival Plaza on September 24 (Sun.). In addition to selling products, the store will also have a mini-corner introducing "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" and the facilities of "THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO".

A camera app for smartphones equipped with an AR function has also started to be distributed. This is an app that allows users to activate the AR function by touching the "AR" button in the lower left corner of the app screen, and when the camera is held over the markers and anime scenes placed in front of the full-scale Unicorn Gundam standing statue under construction, a standing statue of the completed Unicorn Gundam (AR image) will appear on the screen, allowing visitors to quickly take a picture of the standing statue. This is an application that allows you to take a picture of the standing statue before it is completed.

In addition, by pointing the camera activated by the AR function of the app at the posters placed at 8 character photo spots in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, characters from "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" will appear and you can take a commemorative photo with them.

In addition, various events will be held at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, including a limited-time "THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO" opening stamp rally, where special pin badges will be given away every day on a first-come, first-served basis. We hope you will enjoy the life-size Unicorn Gundam standing statue.
