The moment that made the Budokan hot and shining with the best bond! BanG Dream! 4th☆LIVE Miracle PARTY 2017! at Nippon Budokan" Report

The Nippon Budokan is called a sacred place in various fields, such as a sacred place for bands and a sacred place for idols. On August 21, 2017 (Monday), the five members of "Poppin'Party" landed on this sacred stage, just one year and six months after their major debut.

Poppin'Party is a band that appears in the next generation girl band project "BanG Dream! The five members are Kasumi Toyama (Gt. & Vo.; CV: Aimi), Tae Hanazono (Gt.; CV: Sae Otsuka), Rimi Ushigome (Ba.; CV: Rimi Nishimoto), Saya Yamabuki (Dr.; CV: Ayaka Ohashi) and Arisaki Ichigaya (Key; CV: Ayasa Ito). The cast members who play the characters actually play musical instruments, and their performances and live performances are attracting attention for their high quality.

The Nippon Budokan performance by Poppin'Party, "BanG Dream! 4th☆LIVE Miracle PARTY 2017! at Nippon Budokan," was filled with the charm of the work itself and the band, and the approximately 11,000 bandleaders (fans of the work) who filled the venue went wild. The event was filled to the brim with the charm of the work itself and the band's appeal.

The start of the live performance was a surprise, as the band performed the OP of the anime!

This live performance broke the record for the fastest performance by a girl band at the Nippon Budokan, as well as the record for the fastest performance by a voice actor unit. One of the main features of the show was the stage set up in the center of the venue, surrounded by the audience in a 360-degree circle, which was a surprise to the audience.

The monitors showed footage of the band's history and the announcement of the Nippon Budokan concert, and when the countdown reached zero, the five members of Poppin'Party appeared on stage. The opening song of the memorable live was "Tokimeki Experience! The costumes were the same as those worn by Kasumi and the other members in the opening performance.

The costumes were reproductions of the ones worn by Kasumi and the other members in the opening performance. In addition, the center of the stage was designed to rotate like a turntable, on which the five members facing outward (toward the audience) played and sang. ...... This was exactly the scene depicted in the opening of the anime! The synchronized nature of the performance brought a hot excitement and emotion to the audience.

Please follow me all the way to the end! followed by "Budokan Special Medley. In the MC after the song, the five members expressed their happiness and surprise at the packed Budokan. They said that they wanted to perform on the circular stage, and smiled as their dream came true right away. Nishimoto-san was having fun doing waves with everyone's help, which was actually what Nishimoto-san had answered as "what he wanted to do at the Budokan" in the interview after the previous concert. The other members said, "Put out flames. Fly in the sky" (Aimi), "Tooth guitar" (Otsuka), "Break the drum set and fall down" (Ohashi), and "A dark corner starting with minor chords" (Ito) were mentioned, which may come true one day ....... (For more details, check out the interview after the last show!)

Once they left the stage, the mini-drama started with images from the anime on the monitor. Then, Kasumi (Aimi) appeared on stage and performed "Kirakira Hoshi," the song she sang in the third episode of the anime. Arisaki (Ms. Ito) came out and was given castanets by Kasumi, and Rimi (Ms. Nishimoto) joined the stage with a bass guitar.

After this, they continued with their first clave song (referring to the live performance at the storehouse that was the practice location in the play) "My heart is a choco coronet", which had a cute bounce in the chorus, and "STAR BEAT! ~Hoshinokodou~", where Saaya finished setting up the drums and smiled "whenever" just in time for the cultural festival. The scene was also recreated. The fact that all of the performers had hair styles and hair colors that were reminiscent of their characters, combined with the fact that they were all wearing the same hair color, made it seem as if the characters were popping out from behind the monitors, creating an impressive stage performance one after another.

The second half of the show was full of highlights, including character songs, acoustic songs, and new songs!

In between the acts, the smart phone game "Bandoli-! Girls Band Party! ("Galpa"), a game for smartphones. Ohashi-san and Otsuka-san showed their familiarity with the game, with Otsuka-san in particular achieving a full combo. The five members changed into "Galpa" costumes and performed a cover song, "Hikaru Narara," which showed a different charm from the original song by Goose house.

In addition, the five members sang their own character songs with hand microphones instead of instruments as a medley of character songs. The bandleaders responded to the stage performance by shining their penlights in their respective theme colors.

In the acoustic corner, the band performed two songs, "Just Started Running Kimi ni" and "Yes! The members were particularly enthusiastic about the song "Yes! Among the five members, Ito-san, who had no experience with musical instruments, played the keyboard harmonica, which reminded the audience of the early days when Poppin'Party was first formed.

The interlude video by Ms. Ito and Ms. Aimi, "Bandolier! Poppin' Radio! After the special version of the video, they changed into the costumes they wore at the end of the anime and performed "Time Lapse," a new song to be released on September 20, for the first time. This new song showed a new side of Poppin'Party, with a hard-hitting performance and a serious worldview, a "coolness" that Poppin'Party has never had before. The voices of the singalong bandleaders and the sound of the five members became one and echoed through the Budokan in high spirits.

The band went into the last spurt, saying, "The five of us will do our best to finish the show. to the song from the 12th episode of the anime. Each member sang a solo part, and Aimi, who took the baton, sang with more enthusiasm than usual. The interlude during which the five members faced each other in a session was also impressive, further reminding the audience of the bond between the members. The last song of the show was "Yumemiru Sunflower," an insert song from episode 13. The monitor showed the five members on stage and Kasumi and the other members in the same costumes, further synchronizing the anime with the real world. The cool, refreshing feeling in the hearts of the audience and the pleasant uplifting sensation. The girls' voices and performance touched my heart.

During the moving encore, Aimi's eyes finally broke into tears. ......

The interlude video by Ms. Nishimoto and special guest Izumi Tachibanada, "Bandolier! Pilgrimage to the Holy Land! took the audience on a tour of stations and parks that served as models for the anime's setting, and also introduced the fact that the characters are named after places in Shinjuku City. And the last place they introduced was - the Nippon Budokan.

The five members reappeared on the Budokan stage in response to an encore. Following the first PV premiere of "Teardrops," Aimi and Ohashi sang "Hachigatsu no if" (an insert song for the OVA "BanG Dream!"), featuring the impressive twin vocals of Aimi and Ohashi, and their harmony was so beautiful that it seemed as if a fresh breeze was blowing through the hearts that had been burning from the heat and summer heat.

After the song, the five members greeted the audience and reflected on the two and a half years that had passed before they reached this point, saying that the time had flown by. As they spoke of their gratitude to everyone and their current feelings, Aimi revealed her anguish as the leader and her thoughts on this Budokan. At the same time, "I think I did what I could do! she said, holding back tears and smiling her brightest smile. The five members ran to Aimi and hugged each other. Ms. Ito, one of the first members of the group, said, "(Aimi) is the leader of the group! was a very touching comment from one of the first members, Ms. Ito.

Aimi received everyone's feelings and said with a laugh, "I'm going to eat a lot of yakiniku (grilled meat) and sleep a lot (after the live)! Poppin'Party performed the ending theme song of the TV anime "Kira Kira Itsuka Yume Itsuka -Sing Girls-" for the last song of the show. After the song, the members gathered in the center of the stage and joined hands to form a big star, which looked like a twinkling light in everyone's hearts.

The Budokan concert gave us many shining and moving moments. It was the crystallization of the girls' trajectory, and at the same time, it was the moment when they started running anew.
