Shinkansen "500 TYPE EVA" transforms into a robot!　A dream collaboration of "Shinkarion", "Evangelion" and "Plarail"!

On October 5, 2017 (Thursday), the popular anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Shinkansen Transformable Robot Shinkarion" will collaborate to release the Plarail "Shinkansen Transformable Robot Shinkarion 500 TYPE EVA".

Shinkansen Deformable Robot Shinkarion" is a character content that real Shinkansen transforms into a robot, which has been developed by JR East Planning Corporation, Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions, and Takara Tomy since March 2015.

The "Shinkansen Transformable Robot Shinkarion 500 TYPE EVA" is modeled after the "500 TYPE EVA" bullet train that actually runs between Shin-Osaka and Hakata. It was designed by "Neon Genesis Evangelion" mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita, with director Hideaki Anno participating as a supervisor.

To commemorate the release of the product, a special video featuring the limited-quantity purchase bonus "Tecchan TYPE EVA" fighting "Apostle-type Bachi Gami" aboard "Shinkarion 500 TYPE EVA" is now on view.

The product will go on sale on October 5 (Thu.) at toy specialty stores, toy sections of department stores and mass merchandisers nationwide, Internet stores, "Plarail Shop" Plarail specialty stores, and Takara Tomy's official shopping site "Takara Tomy Mall".
