From the TV anime "Made in Abyss" currently airing, the synopsis and scene photos of episode 9 "The Great Fault" have been released.




Made in Abyss" is a manga serialized by Akihito Tsukushi on the web comic site "Comic Gamma" ( # ). It is a popular work that warmly depicts the adventures of Riko, a girl who aspires to become a great "explorer" like her mother, in the "Abyss," a huge cavern that is unknown how far it extends, and "Oath," a town built on the edge of the cavern. In December 2016, it was announced that it would be adapted into an animated TV series, which began airing in July 2017. The animation staff includes Masayuki Kojima, director of "Black Bullet," Hideyuki Kurata of "DRIFTERS" for series composition, and Kazuya Kise of "Ghost in the Shell: ARISE ALTERNATIVE ARCHITECTURE" (general director and character design) for character design, Animation production is by Kinema Citrus.

Rico and Reg arrive at the "Great Fault" in the third layer of the deep world after separating from Ozen, Marluk and others. The Great Fault, as its name suggests, is a huge vertical wall, which is said to be over 4,000 meters high. Various Abyssal creatures appear in front of them as they aim to go down using the vertical holes that Ozen taught them. As they try to move forward relying on Reg's strength as before, they suddenly hear a familiar sound...
