Legendary live performance "Megumi Hayashibara Megumi 1st LIVE ~Come to meet you~" will be broadcast on WOWOW on September 9 for one night only!

Megumi Hayashibara's "Megumi Hayashibara 1st LIVE ~Come to Meet You~," which took place at Nakano Sunplaza on Sunday, June 11, 2017, will be broadcast on WOWOW on Saturday, September 9, 2017.

Megumi Hayashibara is a female voice actress who has played characters in numerous popular animated films and has left her mark on the music scene as a singer. She has voiced Ranma Saotome in "Ranma 1/2" and Minky Momo in "Magical Princess Minky Momo. She has also appeared in many classic works that are still talked about today, such as Ayanami Rei in "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and Rina Inverse in "Slayers. He has also released numerous high-quality songs over the past 25 years and is considered a pioneer of today's "voice actor artists.

This was the first full-scale live performance by this historic voice-over artist, and fans fought fiercely for tickets, making it a "legendary" live performance. The fact that such a live performance will be broadcast for the first time and only for one night is truly something not to be missed.

Official Report

The venue for Megumi Hayashibara's first solo live concert in her career was Nakano Sun-plaza with only 2,000 seats. The curtain rose as the crowd reached a peak of excitement.

Surrounded by cheers, she sang "Yume wo Hashimete" ("Magical Princess Minky Momo") powerfully. She continued to perform songs from the same work before silently disappearing from the stage. A new voice drama then began, and songs from "Saber Marionette," including "Successful Mission," were performed.

The performance continued with songs from the characters played by Ms. Hayashibara, including "Happy Birthday to Me" ("Universal Culture Cat Girl") and "Over Soul" ("Shaman King").

Sheena Ringo produced "Imagino Shinigami" and "Usuuragai Shinju" ("Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju"), which took everyone's breath away with the bewitching mood she created wearing a blue dress and white fur shawl.

Toward the end of the performance, a message to Ritsuko Okazaki, a singer-songwriter who passed away in 2004, was shown on the screen along with memories of the two of them. She sang "For Fruit Basket for Youth," a cover of one of Ms. Okazaki's best-known songs, as if chewing it over, and after a beat, in her first MC of the night, she smiled and told an episode from her visit to Gunkanjima, Ms. Okazaki's hometown. He said he decided to continue singing after being touched by the blue sky and greenery spread out before him.

The songs "Lucky & Happy," "Hajimari ha koko ha koko kara" and "Aozora" were released this year. The concert ended with Hayashibara-san carefully singing four songs from "with you," an album released this year as a tribute to Okazaki-san. The hole in my heart may never be filled. However, Ms. Hayashibara and the audience shared pain, kindness, and the courage to move forward. The melody of the heart that Ms. Okazaki cherished the most was certainly there. Ms. Hayashibara's prayer-like voice must have reached heaven.
