Currently, "Anipota," an anime portal operated by Akiba Research Institute, is holding an official voting project, "2017 Summer Anime OP Theme Popularity Poll.

The summer vacation is over, and the 2017 summer anime will soon reach its climax. Both the main anime and its theme songs have probably been established at one point or another, haven't they? In this project, we are trying to determine the most popular opening theme from the TV anime currently being broadcast. No.10 Karen Tendo (CV. Hisako Kanemoto) & Chiaki Hoshinomori (CV. Maika Ishimi) & Akuri (CV. Rumi Okubo) "GAMERS! 277 votes

Currently in first place is "Clione's Light" (Kurione no torori). The lyrical lyrics, set to a rhythmic melody, are impressive, as befits a work with a reputation for its heartbreaking and sad story. Aki, who sings "Clione's Light," won first place in the "2016 Anime Annual OP & ED Popularity Poll" with her song "Absolute Sunny Blue Sky" (Bishoujo Yuugi Unit Crane Gale Galaxy), a fall 2016 anime.

And in second place is "Yes/No" (Ikemen Sengoku ◆Toki ga Kakeru ga Koi ha Hajimanai). Although the gap between No. 1 and No. 2 has widened, there is still room for improvement. Expectations are high as to whether "Clione's Lamp" will continue to take the top spot, or whether it will be followed up by more songs from the second place onward.

Next in third place was "10% roll, 10% romance" (Welcome to the Ballroom). This is the latest song from UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, their first release in about two years. The song's very fast-paced melody, which is appropriate for the theme song of a work based on the theme of "dance," will make you start to move your body.

Fourth place went to "256," who sang "Hoshi no Kazunari Dake" (Kaito Ansa), their major label debut. Their fresh singing voice is noteworthy. Also in fifth place is ZAQ, who sings "Caste Room" (Welcome to the classroom of merit supremacy), and is a talented artist who has worked on many anime songs in recent years.

No. 6, "STEP by STEP UP↑↑↑↑" (NEW GAME!) is sung by the unit "fourfolium!

fourfolium! is a unit of "fourfolium!!!", the same unit that appears in the anime, and sings with the same high tension as in the main anime. It is also the theme song of a popular work that recently won first place in the "2017 Summer Anime Popularity Poll".

In seventh place was "Hideo: The Poem of Destiny" (Fate/Apocrypha), a song with a somber worldview, followed by "Aimai Moko" (Tsurezure Children), sung by voice actress Inori Minase, whose popularity has recently been on the rise, in eighth place, and "Zenryoku☆Summer! (AhoGirl), which is very "summery" in image, and "GAMERS! (Gamers!) ranked in at No. 10.

From songs that are worth listening to to those that make your mouth water once you hear them, there is a wide variety of songs in the "2017 Summer Anime OP Theme Popularity Poll".

There are only a few days left until the voting closes on September 6 (Wed.). If you haven't voted yet, please don't forget to do so!
