C3AFA TOKYO 2017" has many exhibits of character goods and garage kits, and many exhibits related to "Mobile Suit Gundam" were originally "Gundam" related, as permission for copyrights was granted on the day. Perhaps in line with this, the Cosplay Plaza was also crowded with cosplayers of the "Gundam" series, such as Char and Gilen. and "Sword Dance," "NieR: Automata," "Flower Bell Mound," and many other genres of cosplay could be seen.

The event was also characterized by its considerable cosplay friendliness.
Especially in the indoor area, thanks to the cooperation of "COSPATIO" and "HACOSTA," which deal in cosplay goods, there were photo booths with a wide variety of backgrounds, from simple brick walls to outer space, Japanese style and POP designs, as well as a "Gintama" banjo-ya and "Dried-up sister! (where non-cosplayers were also allowed to take commemorative photos), and other photo sets recreating the rooms of "Umaru-chan," making it possible to take pictures in a variety of situations.

In addition, there was a full range of services and attention to detail, including the free rental of tools for repairing costume problems, stepladders, tripods, and other auxiliary equipment, umbrellas, keepout tape, and other props, as well as the assignment of staff to assist with filming. Perhaps it was because the event itself was held in a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the super-large scale events such as Comiket or game shows that cosplayers were able to enjoy their cosplay to their heart's content.

Here are some photos of the cosplayers we saw at the event!
