Space Battleship Tiramisu," a science fiction gag manga serialized in Shinchosha's "Kurage Bunch," will be adapted into an anime in 2018. The production will be handled by "GONZO.

Space Battleship Tiramisu" is an everyday space science fiction gag manga about a handsome but reclusive ace pilot "Subaru Ichinose" and his friends on the mother ship "Space Battleship Tiramisu" and his beloved private plane "Durandal. The manga has gained the support of many fans and was ranked No. 3 (July 2016) in the "This Manga is Amazing! It is written by Satoshi Miyagawa and drawn by Ito Myo and serialized on the web manga site "Kurage Bunch" operated by Shinchosha.

Space Battleship Tiramisu" has been praised for its sophisticated gags, such as "I thought it was a serious science fiction manga, but it was a pleasant gag," and "a waste of drawing ability (a compliment)," etc. The long-awaited anime adaptation has been decided for the entire universe.

Animation production will be handled by GONZO, creator of "SAMURAI7," "LASTEXILE" and "AKIBA'S TRIP -THE ANIMATION-.

In 2018, a funny anime about handsome men and a sci-fi gag anime that will shake the whole universe will surely bring laughter to Japan. Information on the staff and cast will be announced as soon as it arrives, so keep your eyes peeled for more news.

Just imagining the scene where Subaru and Isuzu are running around in the space with the screen cramped, or the scene where kushikatsu batter is scattered in the cockpit, both of them make me laugh. We hope that the charm of the new "Space Battleship Tiramisu" will be brought out to its fullest by GONZO. I'm so happy to see the anime adaptation~!
